"What?!!" Ariana's voice echoes through the entire building like an earth quake. "Calm down, it's just for a week" Sunny said.
"Why do you want to leave the country? Without us?" Melissa asked. Sunny sighs, she eventually explained everything to them. "What are we waiting for? Melissa pack baby's bag, we are going to Barcelona" Ariana said.
"Wait I never said we were going to Barcelona... Neither did I say you guys are coming with me" Sunny said. "Ariana grab our passports... I think we need new suitcases" Melissa said.
"Why are you guys so eager to follow me?" Sunny asked. "What do you mean?" Ariana asked in confusion. "I mean I thought you guys would be pissed and tired of the constant moving because of me" Sunny said.
Melissa whacked Sunny on the head. "I wonder where you get your dumb ideas from. We promised to be by your side no matter the cost... We have no intentions of going back on that promise" Melissa said.
Sunny laughs low as tears fall from her eyes. "Come on, not the puppy eyes again" Ariana said. "Get in here" Melissa pulled them in for a hug.
"Thanks" Sunny said in a whisper. Two days later, the girls book a flight to Singapore together with Sofia.
Sunny told Alejandra that she had to take Ariana to the hospital overseas for treatment. Ariana told Roberto that she had to take Melissa overseas for her monthly treatment.
While Melissa told Antonio that she had to give emotional support to her friend who need it. Eventually the girls landed safely in Singapore, Pengxi gave them a house to stay in till the issue dies down.
Back in Mexico. "Damn.. Melissa when did you schedule my meeting with the Tokyo client" Antonio said. "Boss, Melissa isn't here" Britney said. "Where the fuck is she?" He asked.
"Excuse me sir, you where the one who stamped the letter of absence three days ago" Britney said. Antonio ran his fingers through his hair. He remembers Melissa bringing in a lot of documents for him to sign.
"Shit, now I remember she mentioned something about a vacation abroad" Antonio said to himself. "I will help you with your schedule sir" Britney said.
She left the office. Antonio gripped his mahogany table so hard. His phone vibrated in his pockets, he looks at it.
He received a message from Melissa. {I forgot to inform you that your meeting with the Tokyo investors was moved till 5:15 this evening}
Antonio stares at his phone in disbelief. She still found time to work despite the fact that she's on vacation.
{Don't forget to eat something. I packed cookies for you inside your drawer. I even put some orange juice and some medicines Incase you have headache}
"Tsk, tsk.. she's even babysitting me now. Sure mum I will" Antonio said to himself but this time he had a faint smile on his lips. {Whatever you do make sure you do not eat things that would irritate your stomach.. okay?}
{Alright} Antonio finally replied. He opens his drawer to find everything inside. "Very capable indeed"
In Singapore, Ariana chased Sofia round the entire house just so she could put on her dress. "Come back here you menace!!!" Ariana yells. Sofia sticks out her tongue. "Make me"
"No running inside the house!!!" Sunny said. "Tell baby to get dressed" Ariana said. "Tell aunty bear I don't want to get dressed, I want to be free the entire day"
"Can't I get a decent sleep?" Melissa asked storming out of her room.
Sunny folds her hands into a fist. "I have had enough.... Baby get dressed now, Ariana stop yelling and Melissa for the love of everything holy just go back to bed" Sunny said.
Sunny sat on the couch in exhaustion. "Have you spoken to your boss yet?" Melissa asked Sunny. "{Sigh} she didn't respond to any of my texts. Maybe she's busy" Sunny said.
"Busy? How can she be too busy to text back?" Ariana asked. Now Sofia has finally dressed herself. "Maybe I'm the one reading the signs wrong" Sunny said.
Melissa pats Sunny gently on the back. "Don't fall deeper already... You're stuck as it is" Ariana said. "Honestly I've been asking myself certain questions about that night"
"What night?" Melissa asked. "Well, Alejandra got drunk one night and....." Sunny paused. "Wait I've watched movies like this a gazillion times. The antagonist gets drunk and kisses the protagonist" Ariana said.
"Is that what happened?" Melissa asked. "Y... Yes. She kissed me, she said... She loves me but she doesn't remember anything at all. Heck I had to pretend the kiss didn't happen... Heck I get to see her face everyday and I have to pretend I am not dying from the inside. I wish I could quit my job"
"What is stopping you?" Melissa asked. "Her heart" Ariana replied. "I never planned for it to happen, I hoped I could pretend my feelings for her are just irrelevant but the kiss.... God that kiss made me forget my sanity" Sunny said.
"Fuck.... How about you quit your job for the sake of your safety. If your father hired Alejandra to find you then you are in great danger" Melissa said.
"When we get back to Mexico I expect you to hand over your resignation letter ASAP... Got it?" Ariana asked. "Yeah" Sunny replied.
"Could she possibly be in love with me?" Sunny asked. "Eh?" Melissa said in surprise. "I know I'm getting my hopes up but what if she did" Sunny said.
"Babe, I understand how you feel. But what she said that night doesn't count as a confession. Alejandra Castello is from a family where they expect perfection. Being a lesbian isn't one of them... No offense" Ariana said. Sunny sighs. "Non taken"
"How about we go outside for fun" Sofia said in excitement.
Inside a brightly lit room sat Alejandra and a man in his early sixties. "Cheng Xing... I welcome you to Mexico" Alejandra said calmly. "Cut the introductions Alejandra, how far have you gone with the search for my daughter?" Cheng Xing asked.
The door flew open. "Sorry I'm late... Phew, I had to take care of somethings" Pengxi said as he sat beside Cheng Xing. "Could you at least act like you care?" Cheng Xing said.
Pengxi adjusts his suit. "About?" Pengxi asked with a smile. Alejandra clears her throat causing both brothers to be quiet.
"So far I have eliminated potential suspects but Chen Yanyan hasn't been found.... The blood sample you gave me didn't match with the suspects" Alejandra said. "That means you are unable to track down my daughter"
"It simply means dear brother that your daughter isn't alive. It means you are wasting your time so I suggest we both return home" Pengxi said. "I never said I haven't found her... I just need time to make clarifications first" Alejandra said.
"What is her name?" Pengxi asked cautiously. "Her name doesn't matter. All you need to know is that I am very close to bringing your daughter back" Alejandra said.
Pengxi leans back with a glass of whiskey in his hand. "That is a relief" Cheng Xing said. {If Alejandra has a suspect, it could only be Sunny. I knew keeping her out of the country was a good idea} Pengxi thought.
