CHLOE'S POV.

The pain shot through her entire body in less than a second that she could not stand. She craddled her huge belly, crying out in pain. She couldn't even tell when Malachai crouched beside her, telling her to breathe or do something.
She couldn't hear anything, and everything buzzed around her. Her breathing echoed with each breath she took. It hurt her in every way that mattered. All she knew was that Malachai was screaming for help and laid her on the bed, and she couldn't do anything but wince and yell, trying to calm herself for the baby.
"It's not time yet, your grace. She can't push yet," The healer tried to say it as calmly as she could, but Malachai didn't take that as an answer.
Chloe writhed on the bed, sweat dripping from her face and drenched her clothes. "Carve it out. Carve the fucking thing out!" They were trying to explain to her why that was a bad idea but she growled, "Now! Get it out now!"
