The girl's father, his face red with anger, demanded to know who among them had done such a thing to his daughter. The girl pointed at Ruby, her eyes filled with venom. "It's her," she said.
The girl's mother shouted, "How dare you!" Ruby didn't flinch, her expression unchanging as she looked at them with growing annoyance.
The girl's father took a step forward, his voice firm. "We're talking to you, young lady."
Ruby raised an eyebrow. "I'm listening."
The girl's father puffed out his chest. "Do you know who we are?"
Ruby's response was calm. "I don't. How about you tell me?"
The girl's mother couldn't contain herself. "What a rude brat!" she exclaimed.
The girl's father began to introduce himself, but his wife interrupted him. "Honey, you don't need to explain that to her. She's just an idiot."
The girl's father nodded in agreement. "Yes, you're right."
Ruby laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You're the owner of Double B's Wine Manufacturing Company and CF Company?" she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
The girl's father nodded, expecting Ruby to be impressed. But instead, Ruby's expression turned mocking. "What a scammer. You people are such liars. You're not even worth to be a security in those companies, not talking about being the owner."
The girl's mother stepped forward, her face twisted in anger. "Believe it or not, my husband is the owner."
Ruby smiled sweetly. "How about I call the real owner, who's my father, and tell him about this?"
The girl's father's expression changed from anger to shock. "What? You're Mr. Clifford's daughter?" he asked, his voice trembling.
Jowell spoke up, her voice firm and authoritative. "Yes, she's Ruby Clifford, the youngest daughter of the Clifford family."
The girl's family was stunned into silence. Jowell continued, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "What cat got your tongue?"
The girl's father looked like he had been punched in the gut. "That's not true," the girl stammered.
Ruby laughed again, the sound sending shivers down the spines of the girl's family. "How about I call the police? Maybe when you're in jail, you'll know what true power looks like."
The girl's father panicked, trying to stop Ruby from making the call. But Ruby just smiled, her phone already dialed and ready to connect.
The girl's mother, desperate to salvage the situation, turned to Ruby and begged, "Honey, don't believe her. I'm sure she's a liar."
But the girl, realizing the truth, joined in, suggesting they search for the Clifford family's photos online. When they found Ruby's picture, they were shocked.
The girl's mother and father dropped to their knees, begging Ruby to forgive them. "We're sorry. We didn't know who you are," the girl's father pleaded.
Ruby's expression remained cold. "It's good you didn't. And at least I've seen how you deceive and fool others with your lies."
The girl's family continued to beg, promising never to repeat their mistake. Ruby finally relented, but her tone was unforgiving. "I have no intention of reporting you, but that doesn't mean I'll let you go next time."
With that, Ruby and Jowell walked away, leaving the girl's family to pick up the pieces of their shattered pride. The crowd around them couldn't help but gossip and laugh at the girl's family's humiliation.
