"Matthew, why do you wait at the teleportation gate every single day like this? Silvanus might not even come back today." Ariana stood beside Matthew, sounding a little bored.
Because she had never received much love from her family, Ariana had always restrained herself. But after entering Lumina, she became much more confident and dared to speak her mind more freely.
Matthew looked at her and said softly, "If you're bored, you can go inside first."
Ariana shook her head almost immediately. "No, how could I be bored? I'm waiting for Silvanus, too!"
Matthew stayed silent. Ariana couldn't help sneaking a glance at him. She wanted to figure out how Matthew had become Silvanus's close friend—was it simply because he stuck to Silvanus all day long?
Just as Ariana had that thought, a flash of light suddenly appeared before them—the teleportation gate was lighting up!
