Silvanus could now confirm that the girl in front of him could understand human speech, but she could not speak it.
He gently patted her head. She kept swaying and rubbing her head against his hand, making continuous purring sounds.
"Can you let go of me first?" Silvanus suddenly asked.
The girl immediately lifted her head to look at him. Silvanus somehow understood the meaning behind her gaze and quickly assured her, "I'm not going anywhere."
Only then did she release him, though her tail still remained tightly wrapped around one of his legs.
Silvanus carefully sat down.
The girl instantly rolled onto her back, curling her arms and legs while swaying her belly in front of him. Her behavior resembled an animal far more than a human, even though her appearance was clearly human. It was truly strange...
With another silent sigh, Silvanus said softly, "You can lie down and sleep or just sit still, but don't do that."
Vivian felt as if lightning had struck her.
