— Naejin, go call your mom — I said.
After she had come on to Jun-ho, I thought things would get awkward. But now she just seems like a girl who regrets what she did.
Which honestly puts me at ease.
— Mom needs to sleep. She doesn't sleep much. — He spoke while fussing over his plate and cup, arranging them like they had to be perfectly lined up.
I blinked at that. But I wasn't really surprised. Naejin is the child in the middle of all this, and Alessa is the adult who carries him in her arms.
— Really? Oh, then let's not wake her. She needs her beauty sleep.
— Beauty sleep?
— Yeah. If we sleep enough, we get prettier.
— Whoa...
— That's why we shouldn't stay up too late.
— Got it.
He smiled, all hyped up.
Then he started eating. He and Jun-ho, basically racing to see who could eat faster.
Not that I approve, but... it's okay for them to play like that sometimes.
Especially now that they're closer.
I'm honestly impressed.
