Chapter 1 - 1

"Next up, let's have Lan Foster. "

A man with a beard spoke clearly and loudly to make sure everyone heard him. The room was shaped like a stadium although with a much small size.

Everyone looked at a young man who stood up as his name was called. He had indifferent purple eyes, Ocean blue hair, tall, lean, handsome, and a steady gait. He walked to the middle of the room. Whispers could be heard throughout the room.

" That's Lan Foster. He's top of our class. "

" I heard he's top 100 in the nation. "

" Who cares about that? The summons determines your future anyway. "

" I bet 20 credits he summons a D-grade potential. "

" Only D? I bet 50 he summons a C-grade potential. "

Everyone soon quited down as the professor gave them a mean glare. Lan soon extended both of his hands in front him. His hands started glowing with a faint ice blue aura. In the air he began drawing. He thought to himself.

' Ice is good for defense and offense. If I get a support it will be weaker than others of the same level. To minimize this I'll start by drawing a rune that forbids supports. Next I'll draw 3 ice runes to amplify it's ice abilities. 2 Physical runes to give it a more robust body and to prevent the summoning of a spirit type.

A agility tube for better movement and flexibility. And 1 focus for better reaction speed and concentration. Finally a mind rune for mental defense and faster casting speed. '

A peak tier 9 summoning circle can have 9 runes at most. Any more than that then it will be a tier 8 summoning circle. The more runes one puts the greater the strain on the mind, body, and spirit. Also 9th tier summoning circles can only support 9th tier runes or the circle would break.

With his circle complete it planted itself on the ground and flew brightly. Everyone looked in with anticipation as the bright light started to disappear. However shock filled their eyes when they saw what he summoned. The professor was equally as shocked but he quickly announced what Lan had summoned.

" Snow Tuff, F - Rank, F - potential, Class - Support. *Sigh Lan your a good student but I suggest finding an office job. "

Lan looked at his summon with no particular expression on his face. He simply thought to himself.

' It's impossible for a weak support class monster to get through the support hindering rune. It must have a skill the allows it to do so.'

As he was thinking this whispers ignited throughout the room.

" F grade? I thought his runes were near perfect? "

" Maybe he was stressed and messed up somewhere? "

" Forgot that how did he summon a support? Didn't he make a rune forbidding supports? "

" Maybe his summon isn't so simple. It could have a skill like disguise or metamorphosis. "

" Stop daydreaming. Only D - grade summons can have those skills. Epic ones "
