Jin woke up to sunlight and somebody snoring.
For a long moment he didn't know where he was. The ceiling above him was cracked plaster, stained brown in one corner where water had leaked through at some point. The bed under him was a thin mattress on a metal frame, the kind that creaked every time he breathed. There was a window to his left, and through it came warm, golden afternoon light and the distant sound of people talking and laughing somewhere outside.
Then the snoring got louder, and he remembered. He was back at the station.
