Elsewhere in the mansion, Elsa stood outside Logan's study with a folder in her hand.
She had been waiting for nearly twenty minutes.
Normally, Logan would have attended to his duties before the afternoon. He had reports to review, matters concerning the Underworld to settle, and several warriors waiting for his instructions.
But today, everything seemed to revolve around Layla.
Elsa had watched him leave the training grounds with the young woman. She had seen the way he smiled at her, the way he patiently explained things to her, and the way he seemed to forget everything else whenever Layla was around.
It was becoming increasingly difficult for Elsa to pretend that it didn't bother her.
She had known Logan for years.
