Volume 2 Chapter 82: The Storm and the End
As the sun set, the world plunged into darkness.
In the distant sky, a god wielding lightning, storms, fire, and light descended from above.
Like the most brilliant meteor in existence, it fell from the highest heavens to the mortal world.
Within the clouds that touched the mountains, Kaiser Ghidorah slowed its speed, descending from supersonic to subsonic.
No longer breaking the sound barrier, it flew at a relatively low speed through the sky, gradually decelerating.
Its speed dropped to below a hundred meters per second, until finally, it hovered almost motionless, just a kilometer or two above the water's surface.
Below was not land, but water.
After re-entering from low Earth orbit, Kaiser Ghidorah had chosen to descend upon one of East Asia's ten largest lakes—Hongze Lake.
This location was already near the front lines.
Had it not been for the sudden power outage, Kaiser Ghidorah would have been intercepted here.
But now, nothing could interfere with it.
The front edges of its wings inhaled massive amounts of air, mixing it with heavy metal particles, heating them, and then expelling them.
The scorching exhaust from Kaiser Ghidorah heated the once-cool atmosphere and lake surface.
As the water and air heated, they began to rise, pushing the cooler water vapor aside.
This process was identical to the birth of a typhoon over the ocean.
The rapidly rising air turned the lake surface into a low-pressure zone.
Naturally, air from surrounding areas rushed in, got heated, and rose again.
A continuous cycle formed—more air got heated, leading to a phenomenon: the upper atmosphere became hotter than the lower atmosphere.
Vast amounts of evaporated lake water gathered in the sky, forming layers of rain clouds that shrouded the starry night.
Under the influence of the Coriolis force, the rain clouds began to rotate and churn.
Nature itself became part of this creation, and the clouds twisted into rolling formations with rumbling thunder within.
The ten Ghidorah's Wings descended gracefully from the distant sky, encircling and guarding their king.
Soon, thicker clouds covered everything.
Satellites could no longer track Kaiser Ghidorah's next moves, but those on the ground could already foresee its intentions.
It was deliberately creating a typhoon!
This creature intended to unleash a superstorm upon the planet!
In an underground bunker, a man took a deep breath and asked,
"What's Kaiser Ghidorah's power output?"
A nearby person called in a scientist dressed in civilian clothing.
Upon arrival, the scientist hesitated before answering:
"Based on the electric discharge observed when it attacked the nukes, to generate such a strong electromagnetic field, its current output must be at least 1 petawatt. And that's assuming zero resistance. In reality... it's likely far greater, possibly exceeding 10 petawatts."
"What's the energy output of the strongest typhoon we've encountered?"
The man continued asking, and the scientist's face grew tense.
After a moment of thought, he replied:
"I'm not an expert in this field... but I remember that the last super typhoon that made landfall had an hourly energy equivalent to 2,600 Hiroshima bombs. That was considered a once-in-a-decade event."
"And the difference between it and Ghidorah?"
"More than a hundredfold."
"Ghidorah weaker than a typhoon?"
"No, the typhoon weaker than Ghidorah."
"And this is just considering Ghidorah's own power... Once the typhoon fully forms—"
"Our own planet will lend its power to the storm."
The scientist concluded with a grim expression.

Hongze Lake was evaporating at a staggering rate, with tens of thousands of tons of water vapor condensing in the sky and swirling.
From satellites in distant space, humanity watched in awe as a colossal vortex formed.
Clouds from across the sea were being drawn into the maelstrom, creating a swirling mass beyond anything recorded in human history.
The storm's diameter surpassed 2,000 kilometers, capable of engulfing the entire southern region of East Asia.
And all of this had taken shape in just two hours.
The night grew darker, but across East Asia, thunder roared continuously.
BOOM!
Bolts of lightning from the clouds struck Kaiser Ghidorah's body, wrapping it in crackling arcs of electricity.
A torrent of lightning erupted from within, cascading down onto the lake, forests, and mountains.
Electricity surged across the creature's form, and some of it discharged outward.
Bolts struck the water, instantly vaporizing it.
On land, they shattered trees and split rocks.
In the sky, they spread through the clouds, amplifying the storm.
Soon, it was as if someone had flipped a switch in the heavens—more and more lightning bolts appeared within the clouds.
A massive thunderstorm was brewing!
Within a radius of dozens of kilometers, countless bolts rained down from the sky.
After completing this, Kaiser Ghidorah began to move.
It was time.
It was time to reshape everything.
It is time to wipe everything clean and replace it with our world!
This is exactly what it intends to do!
The god of thunder, fire, and storms advanced over the water.
Kaiser Ghidorah soared back into the clouds, releasing bolts of lightning as it moved forward.
The storm followed its footsteps—unprecedented winds uprooted trees, torrential rain poured down, and floods and landslides erupted in chorus.
The sky cracked open; whenever it passed through an area, the lightning there was ignited into a furious frenzy.
A super lightning storm zone, spanning over a hundred kilometers in diameter, formed with the storm's eye centered on the glowing heart of the clouds.
Lightning! Lightning! Lightning!
Endless bolts rained down from the heavens, setting forests ablaze, their flames flickering within the storm.
Kaiser Ghidorah advanced within the churning clouds, gradually activating the entire storm that engulfed East Asia, transforming it into an unprecedented super lightning storm on this planet.
Communication towers, railguns, shelters, and city structures—
All were obliterated by the endless lightning strikes.
Even the tallest lightning rods meant to ground the electricity could not withstand the overwhelming energy.
In mere moments of contact, the lightning rods were obliterated into pieces before they could even function.
In the Pearl River Delta and further south, no one had even caught sight of Kaiser Ghidorah.
The torrential storm of lightning had already struck first, obliterating them like a conscious force guiding destruction.
If such an intelligence truly existed, perhaps things would have been more predictable.
But in reality, there was no guiding mind behind it—
Destruction occurred simply because of the sheer quantity.
Hurricane-force winds exceeding level 18 tore entire trees from their roots, hurling them into the sky, only for them to be reduced to splinters by a single lightning strike.
Mountains crumbled, swallowing entire forests, and the relentless downpour drenched everything in sight.
The moon vanished behind the storm, and though darkness should have prevailed, the constant flash of lightning illuminated the night like a flickering beacon of annihilation.
The ten Ghidorah's Wings guarded their master within the storm.
Beneath them, rivers surged and breached their banks, mountains collapsed, swallowing entire woodlands, and lightning spread in all directions, obliterating everything—tangible and intangible alike.
Crack— crack— BOOM!
A massive dam collapsed under the unrelenting force of the storm.
Lightning struck its exposed metal reinforcements, detonating its structure instantly.
Then, under the assault of winds, rain, and landslides, the dam could no longer hold.
Piece by piece, it crumbled, and finally, with a thunderous roar, it collapsed entirely.
Billions of tons of floodwater surged forth!
Like a wild, unrestrained beast, it rushed in all directions.
The flood, fueled by the violent storm, created waves dozens of meters high, turning thousands of square kilometers into a vast, endless swamp.
The rain fell so heavily that even nearby buildings became barely visible.
Even the silhouettes of Ghidorah's Wings blurred within the downpour.
Only the lightning and light emitted by Kaiser Ghidorah itself remained as guiding beacons in this apocalyptic devastation.
The Pearl River Delta no longer required deliberate destruction—
The natural storm that Kaiser had summoned had already crushed all traces of humanity.
Lightning bolts, accompanied by rain and wind, ravaged everything on the surface.
Humans hiding in underground shelters could only watch helplessly as one satellite feed after another went dark.
Some were destroyed by Kaiser Ghidorah itself, while others fell victim to its massive wings.
Shelters across the region struggled desperately to hold out.
Inside one of them, officials attempted to communicate with other shelters in the region, hoping to establish contact with the primary East Asian command bunker.
But just as they finished reporting their status and prepared to request aid—

Everything went dark.
Not just the call, but the lights—everything was gone.
The underground shelters had become isolated islands in the darkness.
They were completely cut off from the outside world—base stations and fiber-optic connections had all been destroyed.
Even satellite phones no longer functioned.
Because Kaiser Ghidorah had arrived.
It continued to generate unimaginable EMP waves, burning out all electronics in the shelters below.
They were finished.
Rainwater seeped relentlessly into the ventilation systems.
Chaos erupted across every floor of the shelter—except the lowest, which remained eerily silent.
It wasn't time for the scheduled power shutdown yet.
Even if it was—
It was never supposed to be this absolute.
Some people tried to use their phones to light up the darkness, only to discover that their phones no longer worked.
They soon realized that it wasn't just the lights in the shelter that had gone out—
Even the robots that maintained order had all stopped functioning.
They had stopped as well.
Panic spread across the different levels of the shelter.
Though the blackout had only just begun, the chaos hadn't yet escalated into full-blown riots.
But as time passed, the pitch-black underground shelter would inevitably descend into utter chaos.
How long could one remain sane in a place without a single source of light?
Even if they had candles, how could a candle ever replace the sun?
Chaos would inevitably evolve into riots, and riots would ultimately lead to catastrophe.
The fate of these shelters, which had been struck by the super EMP, was already sealed—
A disaster where fewer than one in ten might survive.
Even with emergency supplies like candles and flashlights,
How many people could truly be evacuated with such meager resources?
As Kaiser Ghidorah and its winged guardians continued south past the Pearl River Delta,
The main command shelter finally realized the gravity of the situation.
Urgent orders were broadcast to every remaining shelter:
"Evacuate everyone!"
"Abandon the shelters immediately! Evacuate now!"
"Get everyone out!"
Under Kaiser Ghidorah's relentless EMP assault, the shelters had completely ceased to function.
And that meant—
Everyone inside would die...
Without electricity, ventilation systems could no longer function,
And with millions of people trapped inside, oxygen would quickly run out.
Even worse, the burning of candles would further deplete what little breathable air remained.
The shelters were no longer safe—they had become coffins.
Within a day or two, they would turn into oxygen-deprived tombs,
And every single person inside would suffocate to death.
Damn it... Damn it... Damn it...
The shelters were buried beneath dozens of meters of soil.
How powerful must the EMP be to burn out every piece of equipment through kilometers of earth?!
What the hell was this thing?!
Humanity had considered the possibility of Ghidorah's Wings emitting EMP attacks.
They had even prepared defenses against it.
But... it was too powerful.
Human defenses were utterly useless.
This monstrous force had crushed humanity's last hope.
Even the Oxygen Destroyer might prove ineffective…
The super typhoon engulfing Kaiser Ghidorah was too vast, too overwhelming.
No weapon could stop it now.
Damn it... Damn it... Damn it...
What the hell is this?!

Why?!
They had been on the verge of victory just yesterday—
Why had everything turned so suddenly?!
"Evacuate! Get everyone out of the shelters!"
"As fast as possible! Move, move, move!"
There was no time to worry about the chaos anymore.
Emergency broadcasts echoed through every shelter in the southern region.
The massive doors were thrown open, and people, still confused, obeyed the orders to evacuate.
But as soon as they stepped outside—
The raging storm halted them in their tracks.
Outside, lightning split the skies,
Hurricane-force winds ripped through the land,
Floodwaters raged through the valleys, engulfing everything in their path.
Giant trees were uprooted and hurled into the air, mountains crumbled in the distance, And the moon and stars were completely obscured.
Only the endless, deafening rumble of thunder filled the air.
Outside was the end of the world.
People swallowed their fear as they gazed into the torrential downpour,
And then,
They saw it.
In the deepest heart of the storm—
A distant glow.
The light of the end.
Kaiser Ghidorah had arrived.
