Chapter 138 - Volume 2 Chapter 81: A Brand-New World

Volume 2 Chapter 81: A Brand-New World

Amidst the ruins of Yanjing, the newly born Kaiser Ghidorah was drinking water, undisturbed by anything around it.

Human nuclear interference had ceased, and the mushroom clouds and fireballs, which had persisted for several hours, finally faded from the ruins.

Everything mankind had created was burned away by its EMP, leaving the world in complete silence.

And in this silence, Kaiser Ghidorah continued to drink, replenishing its fuel source.

If humanity had deployed the oxygen destroyers buried around Yanjing while it was still in its egg, perhaps it wouldn't have hatched so soon.

However, they clung to unrealistic hopes of rebuilding their home after everything was over.

Thus, they refrained from using weapons that would have permanently rendered Yanjing a wasteland—though, in truth, using them would not have changed the outcome.

At most, it would have sent a message to the world that they had done their best.

Kaiser Ghidorah consumed the water, and its weight increased by tens of thousands of tons once more.

Lifting its three heads, it finally finished its long-awaited refueling.

With feeding complete, it was time to move.

Under the setting sun, Kaiser Ghidorah and the Ghidorah's Wings shone with a crimson glow under the golden light.

Its wings spread wide, and the engines that had replaced their membranes ignited, spewing scorching gases outward.

Preparing to take flight, Kaiser Ghidorah sprinted toward the open water with its near-billion-ton body moving at supersonic speeds.

Then, with a powerful leap from all four legs, it took to the skies!

Two of its wings shifted downward, while the other two extended above.

Like a rocket, the newly reborn Kaiser Ghidorah soared from the earth!

The Ghidorah's Wings followed closely, ascending with their master toward the sky.

Perhaps this action triggered some forgotten failsafe in the global defense network.

The once-silent SkyNet resumed its nuclear bombardment, targeting Kaiser Ghidorah and its followers.

Countless nukes were launched from distant satellites, yet Kaiser Ghidorah remained indifferent.

It didn't even activate its EMP.

Instead, it continued to accelerate.

As the Ghidorah's Wings shielded their leader, intercepting the incoming missiles, Kaiser Ghidorah soared to altitudes exceeding hundreds of kilometers.

But this was far from its final destination.

Accelerating further, it pushed beyond supersonic speeds—Mach 1, Mach 2, Mach 3—until it exceeded Mach 5, piercing the innermost layers of the atmosphere, heading for near-Earth orbit.

By now, there were no Ghidorah's Wings left to protect it.

Missiles targeted it relentlessly, but as Kaiser Ghidorah reached 300 kilometers above the surface, it spread its wings wide like a king announcing its dominion.

Was it going to use its EMP?

No.

This was the declaration of a sovereign.

Lightning crackled across its body.

Just like the Ghidorah's Wings, Kaiser Ghidorah possessed the power to manipulate lightning.

However, its strength far exceeded theirs—it could summon a thunderstorm spanning tens of kilometers, annihilating everything in its vicinity.

Lightning erupted around it, obliterating the incoming missiles without any effort.

It had not even aimed, yet within a radius of several kilometers, countless bolts of lightning obeyed its will, reducing the incoming warheads to dust.

At the same time, a transformation was taking place.

Kaiser Ghidorah's body radiated with light—flashes of lightning and thunder enveloped it, making it resemble a celestial god wielding dominion over the skies.

But it wasn't finished yet.

Its three heads gazed in different directions, and a powerful energy began to accumulate in its chest.

Moments later, fire erupted.

Like Godzilla's atomic breath, flames burst from Kaiser Ghidorah's mouths, spreading in three different directions and expanding into a fiery storm that consumed the incoming satellites.

These satellites, unlike those disabled by the initial EMP, were still operational—until now.

Within seconds, they were engulfed in flames.

With a display of overwhelming might, Kaiser Ghidorah wielded fire, lightning, and light, laying waste to the human nuclear satellite network.

Anything that dared oppose it, that dared to approach its domain, was reduced to ash.

Satellites plummeted to Earth, and Kaiser Ghidorah continued its path of destruction across near-Earth orbit.

Like a sun composed of lightning and flame, it roamed the heavens.

From Yanjing to the Pearl River Delta, it sped across the sky at over five times the speed of sound.

In its wake, it left behind vast trails of burning clouds, staining the entire East Asian sky crimson.

The red glow was deeper and more vivid than the setting sun, blanketing the skies and obscuring the clouds.

Descending into the atmosphere, Kaiser Ghidorah entered the cloud layers.

From there, it took control over yet another element—weather.

Manipulating the heated currents from its engines, it stirred the clouds, turning them from pure white to ominous black.

Thunder rumbled.

Rain poured down.

And amidst it all, the blazing "sun" continued to shine.

The scorching winds that propelled its billion-ton body swirled through the atmosphere, disrupting global weather patterns and altering the very climate.

A brand-new world was on the horizon.

One sun and ten stars now illuminated the sky, marking the second day of the Ghidorah's Wings' arrival.

Would it also be the first day of a new world?
