Faith's POV
I woke up the next morning in my room and immediately noticed a freaking tattoo on my left wrist.
A snakelike tattoo. I do not even know what this is.
I spit on it and tried to wipe it off, but nothing happened. That is when I heard a low growl from the doorway. I looked up and saw Felix staring at me, eyes wide like I had just kicked his puppy.
"What are you doing?" he asked, voice tight, like I was committing a crime.
"Wiping this tattoo. Or something. Whatever it is."
"NO," he shouted so suddenly I flinched. I stared at him like he had officially lost it.
I do not know what he is doing. And honestly, I do not think he knows either.
"My poor baby," he muttered, then grabbed my hand and kissed the tattoo like it was some ancient artifact he had been mourning for centuries.
Okay, what is happening? Why is he smiling nonstop like a damn lunatic?
This is kind of scaring me.
