I sit on my bed, scribbling in my notebook, but my mind's elsewhere. Khana's face keeps popping up, and I wonder what really happened.
Who pushed her downstairs? I try to shake off the thoughts, but they stick.
My pen moves in jerky motions, like my brain's trying to keep up with all the questions. Was it an accident?
Or did someone....?
I don't finish the thought. Don't want to think about it.
But I can't help it.
The room's quiet, except for the sound of my pen scratching across the page.
I rummaged through the dusty old bookcase, the smell of worn pages and stale air clinging to my skin.
Ugh, this stuff was rank.
Papers rustled and crackled as I shoved books aside, searching for anything to distract myself.
A faded novel caught my eye, and I opened it, scanning the yellowed pages.
My mind wandered back to the weirdness that had become my life.
Drunk Felix, ghostly encounters... I was starting to lose my grip.
