Chapter 32 - “Oh? And what are you going to do about it?”

"Not now," Tsunade said to Akane after thinking for a moment.

"Let's see what the report says tomorrow and what Commander Nara would do. Then, I will decide whether to pursue this or leave it."

Tsunade had been wondering what kind of mission she would pick with Akane. She planned on choosing a mission that wasn't in Land of Fire, a high-priority one, but less dangerous.

She knew that Commander Nara would surely send a squad to look around and find the reason why Iwa Ninjas were spotted near the border. Even if they were from different villages and were wearing Iwa's headbands, Tsunade knew he would look into them so that they wouldn't become unexpected variables.

'This can be a good mission. It would be easy to look for them with Ak-kun's ability, and then we can use the rest of the time to do our own things.'

A smile appeared on Tsunade's face as she thought of the plan, and Akane looked at Tsunade, who was smiling slyly.

'I wonder what plan she has thought of,'

He was about to ask, but Tsunade spoke first and said, "You can send him away. Before we chill here, I want you to see if you can pull Danzo into the dream. I don't think that old bastard will be sleeping, but in case he is, I have a few things I want to check on him."

Akane looked at Tsunade, her expression shifting from a smile to an irked scowl, as swiftly as sunlight vanishing behind storm clouds. Even after all this time with her and other woman, he still couldn't figure out how their minds worked or how their emotions could change so fast.

Shaking his head, he ignored this thought for now and thought of pulling Danzo inside the dream. Unfortunately, Danzo wasn't asleep, so he couldn't pull him into the dream.

A sigh escaped Tsunade's lips as she heard the words, and she shook her head.

"Let's ignore him, too. Besides this, was there something else?" Tsunade murmured, and she started to think if there was something important to discuss.

Nothing came to her mind, and she noticed their surroundings changing again.

"It's been a long day," Tsunade murmured as she took in the new scenery, a knowing smile spreading across her face.

"Yeah, it has been," Akane replied, mirroring her smile. He realised that she understood what he was thinking. They were now standing beside an open-air hot spring, feeling the soothing warmth of the water, Tsunade grinned.

"This is the perfect place to relax and shake off the fatigue," she said, beginning to remove her clothes. A towel appeared in front of her, and she glanced at Akane, who was openly watching her without concealing his gaze.

"Turn around," She said, smirking at him. Hearing her, Akane rolled his eyes and, instead of turning his gaze, he also started to undress. A chuckle escaped Tsunade's lips, and she looked at him, throwing his upper garment to the side.

Even though he could easily make the clothes disappear, Tsunade knew he was doing this on purpose. Her eyes drifted over his well-trained body, and in the steam surrounding them, the droplets of water glistening on his abs and chest made him look incredibly attractive.

"Turn around," he commanded.

Hearing the words she had spoken before, Tsunade's gaze shifted from his body to his face. A laugh escaped her lips when she realised their eyes weren't meeting; Akane was not looking at her face but rather at her breasts, which were barely contained by the bandages she was wearing.

In the end, neither of them turned around and kept looking at each other's bodies while they removed their clothes, but before they were naked, they wrapped a towel around their body.

"Haha~"

Looking at Akane, whose towel couldn't hide what he was feeling, Tsunade giggled. However, her situation wasn't much different, as the towel she had been given by Akane wasn't big and it barely covered her.

"You seem to have gotten bolder but differently," She said as she stepped towards the pool, her hips swaying, making it difficult for Akane to keep his eyes away from them.

"Uh? Different manner? We are now engaged, I don't think I need to be sneaky now," Akane replied, walking behind her and keeping his eyes on her hips. He heard her chuckle at his words and looked at Tsunade stepping into the pool.

'She is deliberately doing this,'

As he looked at her stepping into the pool slowly, Akane gulped at the sight of the towel falling. But, while the towel fell, it only allowed him to just see a glimpse before everything except Tsunade's head was immersed in water.

"Haha~!"

Feeling his intense gaze, Tsunade chuckled and turned her head. Their gazes met, and Tsunade motioned him to come to her with a seductive smile on her face.

Akane gulped as he looked at how sexy Tsunade looked right now. The bulge in the towel could tell how he was feeling, and her actions made the situation even hotter.

"Come here~!"

The seductive way in which Tsunade spoke made it increasingly difficult for Akane to resist the urge to rush over and hold her in his arms. However, he managed to control himself. Since she was playing games with him, he wanted to see how long she would keep it up.

Maintaining his composure, he stepped toward the pool, locking eyes with Tsunade. As he noticed his expression returning to normal, Tsunade narrowed her eyes, observing him as he entered the pool and sat beside her.

"I am here," Akane said to Tsunade as he conjured a tray with two wine glasses in front of him. Noticing his seemingly calm demeanour, Tsunade chuckled, knowing that beneath the surface, he was anything but calm.

Tsunade reached for one of the glasses, swirling the crimson liquid inside with deliberate ease. Her golden eyes gleamed mischievously as she brought the glass to her lips, sipping slowly. She leaned back against the edge of the pool, the steam curling around her like a soft veil, accentuating her effortless allure.

"Ak-kun," she began, her tone light but laced with teasing, "you're surprisingly good at keeping yourself composed. But..." She trailed off, her gaze dipping briefly to the towel he still had wrapped around his waist, "...your body's honesty gives you away."

Akane raised an eyebrow, smirking as he took his glass and mirrored her sip. "You're one to talk, Tsu~Na~ ~. That towel you're barely holding onto seems to have a mind of its own."

Tsunade laughed, the sound rich and melodious, echoing through the stillness of the night. She shifted slightly, letting her arm rest on the edge of the pool and allowing her body to subtly press against his. "Well, it's not like we haven't seen everything before," she teased, her voice a low purr. "So, what are you waiting for, hmm?"

Akane's smirk deepened, his pink eyes locking with hers. He leaned in slightly, the space between them shrinking until he could feel the heat of her breath against his skin. "If you're going to provoke me, Tsuna, you better be prepared for what comes next."

Tsunade tilted her head, her sly smile unwavering. "Oh? And what are you going to do about it?"

For a moment, they stared at each other, the air between them heavy with tension and unspoken challenges. Then, Akane set his glass aside, his movements slow and deliberate as he closed the remaining distance between them.

He reached out, brushing a damp strand of hair from her face, his fingers lingering against her cheek. "You're playing a dangerous game," he murmured, his voice low and intimate.

"And you're the perfect opponent," Tsunade replied, her voice equally soft but filled with a playful edge.

The two of them sat there, the warmth of the hot spring wrapping around them, the world beyond the pool fading into nothingness. Whatever battles or missions awaited them tomorrow felt far away, unimportant compared to the moment they were sharing now.

For tonight, they could leave the chaos of the world behind and simply exist in this fleeting bubble of peace.
