grabbing him by the hand, she goes to the teacher reception room
"hey Alfred! have this kid registered as my teaching assistant!"
"miss Sophia are you sure about this? he's a first year and while there's no rules against it, wouldn't it be better to get a second or third year?"
"just do it Alfred!"
"alright then.. kid, just sign this here and your done, you will be payed 4 thousand credits a month and get a down payment of 10 thousand credits right now. please note that the credits are a virtual currency, you can pay them by using your rank id."
"alright thank you then, and ill see you either at the ball or tomorrow then Sophia"

'while the elite class has better rooms they still are two person dorms, so I'm quite curious who ill be roommates with'
using his student rank id, which acts as a key, credit car and more 'useful stuff' he opens his dorm room, to reveal.. Sophia?

"ill teleport you around so you don't trouble yourself with long distances if you make sure i get involved nothing troublesome with your status."
"deal. what about chores?"
"i handle cooking and cleaning, you do dishes and laundry."
"i can do that."
"since were both sitting at the back corners anyways, lets sit together so we don't have to deal with an annoying person sitting next to us."
"alright."
"i love that your so quiet honestly, this is the best case scenario for dorms."
"same, i got you to teleport me around and your not annoying."
"guessing off of the fact your royalty, you probably use alot of skincare and products, you shower first since it will take the longest."

"ill probably only use the hair products if i do, but thanks."
finishing the conversation, iris enters the large bathroom, leaving Asher unpacking the last of his stuff
'did i just gain a best friend? i think i did, nice.'
IRIS POV
her blond hair wet from the showers, naked body slick with hot water, iris wanders
'he's nice, first person iv ever met that's like me. he talks slightly more but its mostly nothing annoying.'
'Lilia told me about this thing called best friends? apparently its when you and someone are friends, and your extremely compatible, ill need to find a book about friends first to learn more.'
'but he is indeed the best scenario for a dormmate, aside from him being a man, which is negligible.'
'i remember him being rank 8 which is good, since i can team up whenever a team task is assigned, i also heard you need to create party's later on to take quests'
'good.. ill do that, Lilia said i needed more company, but a single friend, best friend even, counts right?'
'all i need to do is get closer and I'm fine.'
ASHER POV
'right on the money i suppose, she's been there two hours already'
'welp, not that it matters, but damn this pizza's good. i love previous me for being a royal chef, best decision ever.'
as he takes another bite, iris comes out of the shower, wearing shorts and one of Asher's oversized shirts
"sorry, took one of your shirts"
"its alright, hungry?"
"mhm.. smells good, what is it?"
"well its called pizza, ya just eat it like this"
taking another bite of the pizza, iris follows suite, her eyes widening ever so slightly, although her face is still quite indifferent

"glad to hear, ima go shower now."
"okay."
taking a few clothes, he enters the shower, coming out after 30 minutes, his hair looking better than ever
"man, elven products are good, thanks"
"no problem."
"ah by the way, what type of food do you like?"
"anything made with wheat, like pasta and bread, now that pizza thing too."
"i quite like them too, although i prefer hamburgers the best, pasta is a close second."
"do you like fish at all by the way?"
"its okay."
"alright, i have some fish in my storage ring so il make them for breakfast tomorrow so they don't go rotten then."
"okay, what will you make?"
"a bento, il be making one every day for lunch, its basically a box packed with different food, this time it will be some sushi and seafood, i can make some with pasta and the such for others too"
"okay."
"ah, i forgot to mention, I'm.. miss, Sophia's teaching assistant, so ill be leaving an hour later than you every day, so ill just leave the bento on the desk every morning."
"you know my aunt?"
"i met her when i applied as a blessing student, she was the one who tested me, same as you. she hired me for my ability to teleport."
"ah, okay."
"do you want to dress up for the ball?"
"too lazy."
"lets just go as it is then, it will benefit us actually. since your wearing my shirt, people will assume were a couple, and will leave us alone"

having come to a conclusion, Asher grabs her hand, going through a mirror he created into the ball room, making countless gasps and murmurs at their closeness, considering that iris is known to not approach anyone her age or actually anyone for that matter, weather it be other elves or humans
soon, the only one to approach them, who are sitting alone in a table, is Sophia
"so you two got to know eachother how..?"
"were roommates, and she forgot her clothes, so i lent her mine."
"ah.. okay then."
"so ah.. what are you two doing..?"
"waiting to get out of this hellhole" they both say at the same time, perfectly in sync
"wow.. um, i don't even know what to say to that.. are you not going to eat at all either?"
"Asher cooks better."
"i cook better."
"overconfident much..?"

then Sophia is called by other teachers, as Serena Eric and Sylvia, who have gotten quite close now, Eric and Sylvia sharing a dorm and Serena was paired with the human princess, go towards them
"who are they?" iris asks
"the boys trouble, the other girl tolerable and while Serena is fine, she is likely to lead to trouble for us by association, her being the rank one"
"do we leave?"
"we cant, they have a no teleportation seal up, incase of an attack."
"ignore the boy then, and try to get them to leave."
"got it."
after the strategy exchange, they wait for the three to come as Eric talks first
"wow Asher! didn't know you knew the elven princess! is she your girlfriend?"
"were best friends."
"okay..?"
noticing the glare from the duo directed at Eric, Sylvia intervenes
"so um.. what do you two think of the academy?"
"its fine."
"its okay."
"uhm.. wow.. you two are far too in sync.."
"and?"
"nothing really its just weird.."
"Asher, take me to the library, i need to get something."
iris says, her expression as indifferent as ever
"okay, i had something to do there anyways, lets go outside since i cant teleport here."
and so, they both get up, leaving the trio baffled
"what.. was that?"
"i have no idea.."
"those two are way to in sync with each other.."
and so, they both get further away to an are without a teleportation seal

taking them both there, Asher leaves iris alone, as he begins to look for Emily, finding her asleep on the reception desk

after exchanging a few last words, Asher goes to the place Emily mentioned, first picking a book about the fifth rank students family, the loyster dukedom

"thanks, bye!" running of to the section, he finds a book called 'the mythologies'
"among the many gods, they are all divided into their respective pantheons, and our continent mainly follows the Greek pantheon, the kingdom of Eleanora specifically follows the seven gods Nyx(night), Aether(light), Mors(death), Fatum(fate), Amor(love), Dies(day) and Tenebrae(darkness)"
'FUCKING SHIT why are the gods the same as earth..? fuck fuck fuck fucking SHIT'
'i need to find more, but these books don't really help, they basically just tell me what i already know from earth'
'well.. i guess i need to get stronger and maybe learn more, honestly if i think about it.. does it really matter? i mean what does knowing both worlds share the same gods do for me..?'
"haah.. this is a problem for future me damnit.. lets just go get some books about martial arts and pick up iris i suppose.."
making a decision to leave it for future him, for the better or worse, Asher gets himself a few books about martial arts, before finding iris who has a single book
"found what your looking for?"
"i have. lets go." she says, hiding the cover to make sure he doesn't see it
"okay, just grab my hand then." he says, extending his hand which she grabs, entering the mirror and showing up at their dorm
"ima sleep now, got to wake up early to cook and go to Sophia and help her. if there's anything urgent ill be inside my room"
"okay, ill be in my room reading then, have a good rest."
she says, as they both head off, one to sleep and wrack his head over what he had found out, and one to read about how to act to your best friend(18+) which she doesn't have any knowledge about since she was a coddled princess, having no clue about anything remotely sexual

hi, hope ya liked the chapter! i personally think that the dynamic of Asher and iris is unique, but the execution could use some more work, but i rewrote it like 3 times and its the best i got for the currently dogshit writer that i am.
