"It's… it's an elf. Not one, but two, by the Holy Light!" shouted a young Paladin.
"Keep your voice down, recruit! You sound like you've sighted a dragon!" hissed another Paladin, older and weary, right beside him, "They're just children, and elves, not Ghouls! Why are you making such a racket?"
"Every being that does not willingly embrace the Holy Light is, by creed, an enemy of the Order and a potential threat to Siterion!" an old veteran Paladin thundered. He leaned heavily on his greatsword, as his eyes were fixed on the two unsettlingly beautiful figures before them.
"Oh, spare us the sermon, Sir Uldren. We're on our knees, half- dead, and you want to preach?" the weary Paladin retorted, his irritation was noticeable, "They aren't monsters, they're just pointy- eared children. Think with your head for once, not just by rote scripture!"
