Carlos had opened seven opportunities and the grim reaper snatched all seven dying souls. Karma also made appearances twice during these seven opportunities.

Carlos did not have a specific number of opportunities to open, he just had to do it until the duration elapsed. The duration is three months, which means Carlos and the grim reaper had to work together for a total of three months before Death could finally give Carlos those permanent passes out of the Underworld.
It got to a point that the grim reaper snapped angrily at Carlos…
They stood in front of a pregnant woman who was about to deliver her child in a local hospital… and somehow, the woman and her child were about to die.
