"It is reported that a rare meteor appeared in Lavender Town's sky last night and fell into the nearby sea, causing a massive tsunami."
"Fortunately, the meteor fell in the direction of the ocean, so while it did cause a tsunami, there was no property damage or casualties."

Finally, with his Pokémon's help, he managed to return to Lavender Town's Pokémon Center before others arrived at that area of the sea.
He then contacted the Pokémon Center's nurse to treat his own condition.
There was no other choice. Eddie didn't know how to treat severe exhaustion himself, so he could only ask the Pokémon Center for help.

Eddie and Gary had a pleasant conversation, though neither of them mentioned Team Rocket. It wasn't appropriate to discuss Team Rocket's three executives being Gym Leaders. They both knew what they needed to do next.
