Blightmere Plains
Blightmere Plains is an enormous, windswept expanse where the land seems to remember every tragedy it has ever witnessed.
The grasses grow tall and brittle, their silver-green blades rattling in the wind like bones. Patches of earth appear scorched even though no fire has touched them for years.
Strange flowers bloom in spirals rather than clusters, as if following patterns unseen by mortals. When night falls, faint bioluminescent motes drift over the ground like lost spirits, harmless but unsettling, as though the plains themselves exhale memories.
Because of its sheer size and its unforgiving openness—flat, exposed, impossible to bypass—Blightmere Plains became the battlefield of choice for every major conflict recorded between kingdoms and empires. Armies marched into Blightmere expecting glory; many emerged forever changed, and some never emerged at all.
