Sienna-Rose checked the barrier around her estate once more. She had already inspected it three times before she even set foot toward the capital, before joining the battalion marching into war against the Thalurian Empire.
"I'm here, Mama. You've checked the barrier three times already," Ivan said as he followed her, matching her steps while she circled the grounds.
"I'm nervous, boy," she muttered, ruffling his hair.
"You're the strongest person ever. It's weird seeing you nervous." He frowned up at her, baffled.
"This is my first war. I'm bound to be nervous," Sienna-Rose replied.
"Mama, you already annihilated entire battalions," he reminded her, counting them off on his fingers. "You made the previous emperor step down. You killed a Keldros. This war is nothing for you." Then he pointed upward. "Plus, we have Cersi."
