Thalina awoke slowly, wrapped in warmth she didn't remember agreeing to. Her first thought was—
Why is my pillow breathing?
Her eyes shot open.
She was in his arms. AGAIN.
Worse—her leg was draped over his. Her arm was sprawled across his abs. Her cheek was glued to his chest like she'd lost the will to fight gravity sometime in the night.
And Eyrx?
Wide. Awake.
Cold eyes staring at her like he'd been waiting for this exact moment just to watch her implode.
"You drool when you sleep," he said, voice as casual as if they were discussing the weather.
Her soul left her body.
"I—WHAT—NO I DON'T!"
He pointed to his chest. "Evidence says otherwise."
Thalina shot up, wiping her mouth furiously. No drool. She checked his chest. Still nothing.
"You're lying!"
"Wouldn't need to if it were true."
OH. THIS. SNAKE.
She flailed backward, trying to disentangle herself from his limbs, but his arm curled around her waist again like a vice.
