After some time, Thalina managed to scrub herself clean and put on a fresh robe. She scooped Vanora into her arms and made her way back to the cave, her hair still dripping down her back.
That damn snake had actually watched her bathe.
Pervert. Disgusting. Brazen.
Did he have no shame? Or was that just a reptile thing?
She roasted some meat for herself and Vanora—definitely better than whatever poisonous nonsense Eyrx had tried to shove down her throat earlier.
It didn't even have salt, but at least it wasn't trying to murder you.
Still chewing, she let out a sigh.
I'm stuck here. With a giant talking snake. In a glowing cave. Great.
And now, she needed to cultivate if she wanted to survive this place.
"I'll tell him later," she muttered, tossing Vanora a tiny chunk. "No way I'm waiting around to die helpless."
When the meal was done and Eyrx still hadn't returned, she curled up on the giant coil of fur, Vanora tucked beside her like a little pink puffball.
