Selena chuckled lightly, completely unbothered. "Oh really?" she said, her tone teasing. "Aurora won't believe that."
Mia's eyes widened again. "Why wouldn't she?" she demanded. "Aurora is my best friend. Of course she'll believe me!"
Selena tilted her head, a sly smile on her lips.
"Because," she said calmly, "Aurora knows that your body is more honest than your words. If I just start things right, she'll see the truth herself. I can even prove it to her right now."
Mia's whole face turned bright red. She pointed at Selena with shaky hands, her voice trembling with anger.
"You're really… you're really..."
Before she could finish, Selena suddenly stepped forward and caught Mia's hand.
Pulling her close, she whispered softly in Mia's ear, "If you can stop me, then go ahead. I'll admit defeat."
