"Yaya! are you going somewhere?" Putting the unusual encounter in the back of her mind, her attention shifted towards her aunt.
" I am going to the town, I need to go to buy some stuff, " Amaya said while putting a few things inside her carry-on basket.
She turned towards Mimi, " let's have some food first." She went inside the kitchen to take some dishes to eat for lunch.
Steamed bun with mixed veg and non-veg filling, chicken soup with lotus roots, potato starch noodle with lean meat and sunny side eggs as topping and lotus flower tea. The lunch was stumptious, Mimi drooled at the food in front of her and hurriedly took her place on her seat and started drinking her soup.
"Slowly, it's hot, " Amaya gently scolded her.
"Yaya, you could have opened a restaurant with your skills, " Mimi commented on her food while taking a bite from a drumstick Amaya has placed in her bowl.
Amaya laughed and took a sip of her soup also.
"After finishing, go and take a nap while I am out." She again reminded Mimi.
"Why? I'm not sleepy. I can go at sana…"
" No, I don't want you to wander around like last night. You are not allowed to go outside."
"but…"
"There is no but or if. Finish your food." After so much reluctance, Mimi finished her food in a bad mood.
With Amaya's stern command, she crawled on her bed.
" Just give some rest to your restless body, " Amaya gently said and caressing her head.
Soon, Mimi fell into a deep slumber and those gentle eyes turned dark.
" Hazil," in commanding tone, she called, and soon a lazy cat entered the room.
The black shadow-like cat looked at its owner with seriousness and had a cold glint in her icy blue eyes.
"Take care of her. If anything happens, I will double the amount of bones you have in your body." The cat named Hazil, didn't take any offense and licked her paw in a lazy manner and jumped on the bed and snuggled beside Mimi.
Giving one last look towards the bed, Amaya walked out from the house.
Closing the door, she turned around.
" Les veros kinot" chanting a spell, the silver bubble formed around the whole house, then disappeared within the thin air.
Amaya walked towards the deeper part of the forest, where no hunter had the guts to enter. Reaching inside the deepest part of the forest, an old tree with towering presence came in her view.
As she reached near it, the beautiful intricate patterns carved on the stem of the tree came into her view.
Closing her eyes, she placed her hand on the particular symbol. The surroundings start glowing into a beautiful violet light. Soon the carvings start shifting unnaturally on the stem and shaping themselves into what looks like a round circle.
The circles start glowing into the luminous light and open a door to the unknown territory. Amaya walked inside without hesitation.
The carvings start shifting again and just in a matter of seconds, the tree regains its original shape.
Vast green land with beautiful mountains surrounding it, greets her eyes.
She closed her eyes and her beautiful wings emerged from her back. The silver flickers in her wings shine like a divine being making her mystic appearance more mystic.
Flapping through the deep forest, she soon reached her destiny. A huge piece of land suspended in the air. Amaya flapped her wings higher and higher until she landed on the outside of the huge white walls and magnificent gate, walking elegantly towards the door.
The guards on duty were surprised to see someone in such attire here, but they were smart enough to not pass any troubling comments. Anyone who is able to enter the portal of this land wouldn't be any ordinary person.
Under the confused eyes of the guards, Amaya reached the entry door.
"Who are you? What is the purpose of your visit?" In a polite yet stern tone, the entry guard asked.
"Amaya Rakushin. I am here to meet the head of the academy." Amaya's calm voice brought shock and admiration in the eyes of entry guards.
"Greeting Princess Amaya," guards gave her a salute.
Amaya Rakushin has always been a figure of admiration in all three worlds. Before her core was damaged, she was a legendary killing machine who had killed countless beasts and people who tried to challenge the power of the Rakushin bloodline for the throne.
But after the mysterious incident, her core got damaged and she has been out of the sight of people.
The guard opened the door in a polite manner and a beautiful sight came in her view. A huge castle-like structure, far and off on this land, stole the first glance. It is magnificent, undenying.
The paths leading to this building have numerous small castle-shaped structures aligned in a beautiful pattern. The paths connecting these buildings are filled with different people, some in uniformed clothes while others in beautiful outfits, some walking with friends and companions while others flying around in the free air. Amaya opened her wings and her target was the most prominent building, which is the farthest from the front gate.
A gentle knock on the principal Reniel Aros. A stern voice came from inside.
"Come in," the door opened and a knight with a familiar yet unfamiliar person greeted her eyes.
"Principal Aros, this–"
"Amaya." Reniel stood up. The words left her mouth unconsciously.
She turned towards the knight. "You go." The knight closed the door and Amaya walked towards her aunt with slow yet powerful steps.
" Aunt Reniel, how have you been?" Her gentle voice brought back Reniel in her senses.
"Amaya, my sweetheart, how have you been? Where were you?" Reniel walked towards her niece and hugged her.
"It has been many years." She mumbled
" Twenty," Amaya spoke." It has been twenty years."
"My sweet child, you have suffered." Reniel said,
" I don't want to talk about that, please." Reniel looked at her wounded niece, but she didn't want to be the one who scratched her scars, so she changed the subject.
" Come, sit. We have lots to catch up on. I am quite happy to see you here."
Ignoring her words, Amaya walked towards the window. As she glanced outside, in the sea of students a familiar face came into her view.
Taking a deep breath. "Aunt Reniel, I need your help." She let her words out.
