The trip to Vespera ended with something simple but important: the nameless man returned to the same garden without feeling that he had to choose between staying there and continuing to discover the world.
That night, the map of Vespera finally went up on the wall.
The nameless man spent almost twenty minutes just deciding where to put it. First, he tried above the small table, then beside the window, and finally chose the wall opposite the bed, where he could see it as soon as he entered the room. Seraphine remained seated in a chair throughout the process, offering help only when he asked.
"A little farther to the left," he said, holding one end while Seraphine secured the other.
She moved the map a few centimeters.
"Like this?"
"A little more."
Seraphine adjusted it again.
The man took two steps back, examined its position, and frowned.
"Now it's crooked."
"Because you asked me to move only one side."
He fell silent.
"Then we need to move both."
