The morning air was cold and damp when Celina and the others were woken up by the banging sound of a bell. The girls scrambled out of their bunks, fumbling with cloaks, boots, and weapons. Some looked excited. Most looked terrified. Some of them were scared.
They had no idea what the trial was all about and what they were to expect, so it was normal for them to be scared.
Celina moved calmly, tying her hair into a simple braid and adjusting the thin strap of her satchel over her shoulder. She left her sword and other stuff hidden in her dimensional ring. She needed to look ordinary.
The girls followed the aides out into the courtyard where the boys had already gathered. The group looked larger today, easily over two hundred students packed into the space, faces pale under the morning sun.
Most of them were grumbling... they didn't want to be up by this time. Some were feeling sleepy.
'Tsk! Weaklings!'
