Chapter 98 - Pt. 12 [Lethal Game]: [SPECIAL] 97: City Mafia's Secret Meeting

As Skylar dealt with the remains at her old prison torture cell, Vincencio, on the other hand, had some conflict to deal with. He was in his Midnight Guardian turf, faking a search for his daughter's whereabouts, when an intercom happened.

'Boss, there's an emergency call on the black line. It's an urgent matter that needs your full attention.'

"Thanks, Lesley. Continue my search for my daughter's whereabouts." Vincencio, being the Night Hound, commanded coldly.

'Noted, boss.'

"Anything about my wife?" He asked before he could hang up.

'She's visiting her old chamber.'

"I see. Keep me posted on everything around here," he said coldly.

'Yes, boss.'

"Old chamber, meaning she's there – where she died." He muttered under his heavy sigh before looking at the blinking waiting call on the black line. He sighed once again before picking up the call, "Night Hound speaking."

'City Mafias on high alert. Meeting at the usual warehouse at nine. Bring no one. Top city security needed at hand. Be on time.'

"What's the cause?" he asked coldly, checking the possible cause of the high alarm with the city mafias.

'Shaken ground. Unknown group stealing lights, nights, and lives throughout the city, causing conflicts between mafia businesses with each other.'

"Proofs?" He asked, tapping his pen on his desk, reading a file report on his computer.

'We got some which I hope you do too, Night Hound.'

"You're making it sound like it's connected to me, Lady Rose." He scoffed, smirking at how his ears twitched from her knowing tone.

'Not just you, but with him, the Master.'

"Ohho, Rose Slayer would love to hear this later." He grinned darkly, deciding and standing quickly as he checked his watch before saying, "I'm coming at eight-thirty."

'I'll be waiting then.'

Vincencio went inside his office bedroom, changing into his usual dark suit. He was surprised to see a full set of dark suits with different styles and brands hanging neatly and clean in his wardrobe. He chuckled because he knew it was Skylar's fault, but what surprised him the most was the upgraded weaponry tucked away behind his wardrobe.

"You're spoiling me, my sugar wifey." He muttered teasingly, grinning at the shelves surrounding the room. They were collectively different handguns, revolvers, rifles, and snipers displayed cleanly, stored neatly, and well-organized on their designated shelves with magazines.

He shook his head, but loving how thoughtful and encouraging his wife was. However, he doesn't dwell much on them, admiring them; instead, he prepared, suited, and geared up before leaving the Midnight Guardian's port in a hurry.

By the time he arrived at the warehouse, it was filled with tight secuyrity of the City Mafia to gather and had an emergency meeting. However, there are some rules must strictly followed; no weapons are allowed inside, and bodyguards standing beside the mafia boss should stay outside, guarding the area.

"On time." Lady Rose greeted Night Hound as he entered the warehouse, which looked like a luxury bar.

"Well, we're night city securities." Night Hound answered, grabbing a glass of whiskey and a red wine for the lady boss of the Moon Rose Familia.

"And I bet she had no idea of this part, am I right?" Lady Rose guessed with a smirk, accepting the wine from him.

"Don't go there." He growled, making the lady chuckle.

"She'll learn it no matter how you try to hide it." She reminded him, and he knew better not to ruin what they had, but he must hold the secret for a while.

"Just a little, I can't trouble her more than she already is." He responded with a heavy sigh, making the lady pat his back.

"But don't take it long, and you know what I mean." She reminded him, advising him.

"I know." He sighed, drinking his whiskey before changing the subject, "Can I see the proof you had with you?"

"Here. I think it's the same men, disturbing the Master's turf lately, and it's affecting all of us." She said, showing the file about the emergency, making Night Hound scoff.

"Involving the mafia ground will awaken the blood resting in her coffin." He muttered amusingly, making the lady frown a little.

"Are you talking about your wife?" she guessed, making him raise his glass to her.

"What do you think?" Amused, he asked darkly, making the lady grin before he continued, saying, "You know that she's not just the daughter of a mafia. She's a slayer, a very dark and lethal slayer. She won't tolerate things disturbing her peace. And now that everyone who betrayed her has already taken their deathbeds or been given chances to change. And if he doesn't change for good, he'll pay it with blood and life."

"No wonder the Master fancies her a lot. They're a match." She commented, agreeing to his knowing words.

"Bloodlines." He chuckled.

"Indeed." She agreed and cheered when the other city mafias finally arrived.

The meeting had started as they talked about the problems they had been facing lately in their areas. Some of their clients have doubts, wondering about their truth, putting the mafia on edge.

"Lady Rose and I checked what we've gotten so far and reached a conclusion earlier that we're dealing with the same folk." Night Hound answered, showing and sharing what they got.

"This one is something that can't be handled alone; however, let me and Night Hound handle it since it's our job if we're looking for balance in our city." Lady Rose added, making them frown.

"And what do you want us to do regarding this matter?" One of the City Mafia wondered carefully after reading the file shared with them.

"Don't interfere, and you know me when I decided that." She answered, making them look at each other, skeptical.

"But Lady Rose…" the second City Mafia tried to reason, but she raised her hand, stopping them.

"No more buts unless you want your group to be headless in the blink of an eye." She warned grimly, making them flinch.

"Are you threatening me?" the same man who tried to reason asked her, making the lady shake her head.

"Not me, but the person who's doing this." She corrected him, making them frown, but sighing.

"You make it sound dangerous what we could ever inflict in the city." Another City Mafia, the third one guessed, making Lady Rose nod.

"Well, inhumane. He's a monster you shouldn't work with because he knows how to use people to his disposal without remorse. He won't care if people died manipulated." Night Hound added a brief explanation about the person they were discussing.

"Hm, got the name of this person?" the fifth City Mafia wondered collectively, making Night Hound and Lady Rose sternly stare at him, making him reason, "I just want to know if he managed to trick some of my men without me knowing it."

"Rudolf Strange." The Master of SR Federation, the head of the City Mafia, answered coldly.

"Dammit, me and my family I met that man once." The second City Mafia clicked his tongue annoyingly, worrying for her family as he recalled his dinner with the man.

"Be wary, but not to the point it became alarming. You don't want your family to worry for their lives." Lady Rose reminded him.

"But…" He was about to refute, but Lady Rose stopped him.

"Don't worry, we'll handle it. Just inform us of anything odd that has been happening around your properties. Don't leave unreported and let us do our securing job around the city." She assured them firmly.

"Should we involve officials in this matter?" The fourth City Mafia asked carefully.

"You don't want them to be connected with you when I learned that some of his men worked around the city government." Night Hound answered coldly, sharing more information about the man's connection to the government.

"Dammit. This bastard is getting on my nerves." The second City Mafia reacted, annoyed by the disturbance that had been happening in their turf.

"Calm down. He's after me." The Master scoffed, confessing bluntly the truth.

"Master." The entire City Mafia reacted in disbelief and worry, apart from Lady Rose and Night Hound.

"I'm going to settle the old score with him soon, but for now, focus on your business, hold your ground if your clients betrayed you, then they're not worth the penny you're releasing with them." The Master said commandingly before adding his dark amusement, "Now that he's stepping into our world, he's waking the bloody monster of the SR Federation."

"Is your father coming back?" the third City Mafia wondered upon hearing his comment.

"No, he's retired, but someone inherited his wife's temperament." The Master grinned darkly, making the City Mafia shiver.

"Oh no…" the fifth one reacted, slouching and defeated on his chair.

"Oh yes, so be warned now, don't interfere and just flow with the scenario that has been happening around because the SR Federation will be at your support as soon as this issue is handled for good." The Master reminded darkly before adding, "Be patient because it is coming near."

"If you put it that way, then we'll watch because even I don't want to witness how grim your mother's wrath is when your father got hurt." The fourth leader said, grinning, thinking about the past they once witnessed.

"Well, from what I could sense, the person who inherited it is much worse than her." The Master chuckled darkly, responding to the comment.

"HAHAHA!" The rest of the City Mafias laughed amusingly before the first one reacted, scoffing, "You're family is insane."

"Aren't we not?" the second one chuckled, making them laugh amusingly.

"Setting that aside, we're going to expect that this will be done as soon as you can." The fifth one hoped, making the Master nod with assurance.

"Just stay patient, and you all know what happens to those who can't." The Master grinned darkly.

"Whatever you say, Master, and whoever this person is, I hope this issue ends smoothly." The third one decided because every City Mafia leader knew how the SR Federation's lady could destroy anyone who wronged her family.

They all witnessed it and stayed loyal to them. They followed not out of fear but with adoration. They haven't thought of betraying, since each property they owned was equally treated with respect.

"Bloody epic, but it will." The Master responded sinisterly, making them speechless but amused because they're going to witness another wave of the SR Federation's ladies' wrath during their reign.

The meeting went smoothly, helping each other by tightening their security before chatting randomly about their lives. Then later, retired for the night. However, the Master, Fredric, left with Lady Rose, Verosha, and Night Hound, Vincencio, for a minute talk.

"Lady Rose, I want the full surveillance of the entire city, including the borders and gates. I need them ASAP." The master commanded firmly, making the lady nod before she excused herself, leaving the men, and then he turned to Night Hound. His tone softened but firm, asking, "How is she?"

"Looking for a way to deal with him in her old chamber." He responded, but still in his cold façade.

"And based on your bond with her, can you tell if she got some already?" He asked carefully but amused.

"Yes, I felt a little hot earlier, but it was not about the mating thing. It's about a strange flame where she was, and based on the excitement she's feeling right now, I think she got something." He answered, sharing what he felt when Skylar dealt with something wherever she was.

"If that was the case, then she met somebody there." He scoffed as he waved his hand, signaling his men to handle the rest of the warehouse.

"Somebody?" Night Hound wondered curiously, making the Master chuckle.

"Don't worry, it's not someone you need to be jealous about." He assured him, patting his back before adding, "It's a ghost who is deeply connected to him."

"Seems like your family has a magical touch." He concluded, making the Master nod.
