[Flash forward to this world and life, 1 year before the events of the story…]
Katsuko was reincarnated into the new world as the same person he was in his past life. Unfamiliar with his surroundings, he got up and looked around, being absolutely confused as hell.
"Where am I…?" he asked in his mind. "Is this a dream or a new world?"
Then, he remembered his last minutes back in his past life and was stunned by how he was given another chance to live his life again.
And then, before Katsuko would move from his position on the ground within Pantano's territorial bounds, the Isekai System opened up a screen and congratulated him for his reincarnation into this new world and said that it was mostly thanks to his redemption of himself in his past life.
Now Katsuko was shocked upon hearing that, and furthermore, the Isekai System said that he was gifted with 2 S-ranked skills called Shadows and Gangster.
Shadows allows a user to blend into the shadows, can do a sneaky attack, and even use shadow magic as a weapon (can be malleable into any weapon) and as a projectile weapon.
Gangster, on the other hand, is a skill-based ability that makes fighting like that of a gangster, either using hands and feet and/or with weapons.
In addition to these skills, Katsuko was also given two Common Abilities, Wind magic and Ice magic.
His level and rank was set to Level 1 and Rank E (because of his change of heart back in his past life, his rank was lucky to be set in E rather than the common F).
Katsuko was stunned to see his new abilities in this life and remembered a few basics from anime and manga (he also liked some anime and manga in his past life.).
With that, the Isekai System said good luck to him and disappeared, leaving Katsuko on his own. But he has a few things that were reincarnated with him: his precious lead pipe weapon, his phone, and his backpack containing his stuff on the day he died. In addition to these things, he had his gakuran uniform and hoodie reincarnated with him into this life, making his reincarnation an all-in-one package.
So, Katsuko stood up, placed his stuff into his backpack, and started walking towards a random direction while having no idea where to go first. Not long after, he arrived at what is actually Sárga Madár within Pantano's Dimwell Dukedom and there, he saw that technology was already present in this world. He saw a modern streetcar running across the main street. He was stunned and was again, confused as hell for him.
"Wha…? A streetcar?" he asked. "What is this fantasy world?"
His first few days of his life in this world were eventually followed by him meeting up with Kahraman and Viviana, which happened in a tavern in the city. For the first 2 days, Katsuko settled in Kahraman and Viviana's Korean-style home while Katsuko was finding a job so he could rely on himself.
But then, Ambroos, the duke of Dimwell, had known about him, including his age, from a few officials who had a chat with Katsuko and invited him for an offer of a scholarship in Sárga Madár's prestigious Saint Amar Academy. Katsuko accepted the invitation to Ambroos' palatial home and was shocked to hear such a nice offer. This is when Benjamín had met him, and he and Katsuko became friends after that. So, Katsuko accepted the offer and was even given a place of his own, which was communal social housing owned by Valeria Matsukawa, who which Katsuko later knew, was a descendant of one of the Otherworlders who introduced social housing in this world.
And by week 1, Katsuko was now a freshman in Sárga Madár's Saint Amar Academy. This was the same school that Kahraman and Viviana, who were children of a widowed father who works as a minibus driver, were currently attending. At that school, Katsuko got along well with his classmates and got a part-time job as a city guard to pay for his expenses and the rest of his tuition.
And ever since then, Katsuko had been living the best life he could possibly have.
