After I left Enzo with those three faggots the ones I knew had been eyeing him for a long time, I didn't look back.
The door closed behind me with a hollow thud, and I felt no shred of hesitation.
If anything, there was a strange satisfaction curling in my chest.
Let them have him. Let him see the kind of company he's keeping, the danger he's flirting with.
Maybe after tonight, some sense will finally be beaten or bitten into his head.
I told myself it was for his own good. That's what fathers are supposed to do, right? Shape their sons into men, into something respectable.
And if he came out of this night battered and broken but finally walking the straight path, then I'd consider it a success.
If he didn't… then I'd let them keep doing it to him until he changed. Eventually, everyone breaks.
