The three girls turned around slowly, their backs pressed against the damp wooden wall of the culinary building.
Standing directly behind the thick berry bushes was Leor Dawsen.
He pushed his round, silver-rimmed glasses up the bridge of his nose, staring down at the crouching figures with a look of utter bewilderment.
He held a leather-bound notebook under one arm and a stack of clean baking sheets in his left hand.
"Grassia?"
Leor asked, blinking behind his lenses.
"What are you doing in the bushes?"
Grassia flinched, her head snapping upward so fast.
Her face turned bright red as she instinctively tried to shift her body to cover the hooded girl behind her back.
"Leor!"
Grassia squeaked, her voice rising an octave higher than normal.
"What are you doing here? Should you not be in the student council office?"
"Professor Noel asked me to fetch these baking sheets from the storage shed."
Leor said, looking suspiciously at the third figure squeezed between the branches.
