Selene raced to where the three men stood. Her eyes were lit up so happily that she looked like a cub who had just had its first bite of meat.
"Does this mean… does this mean that you are going to give me permission to go to the library!" she asked Zephyr, her hands clasped together in hope.
The Alpha nodded at her. "Yes. It means that," he confirmed. "You can go tomorrow."
Selene's eyes widened more. "Really?" she said, and without waiting for another answer from him, she slapped her hands together and let out an excited chuckle. "Thank you!!" she said excitedly to Zephyr, holding his eyes with hers softly.
Zephyr felt something inside him shift. Her happiness felt like a blanket spreading over the air. He felt the lightness intensely, and his Wolf hummed in joy. There was a burst of emotions in his chest with an unmistakable feeling of calm.
Her beautiful blue eyes looked warmer and twinkled brightly. "Thank you," she repeated with a grin that lit up her face.
