While Felix first class went well, the same couldn't be said for the Defense Against the Dark Arts. By the afternoon when the second years were up Lockhart barely managed to skim through the first year class. Chaos erupted from within.
"What happened there?"
When walking the hall with John after their classes for the day. They watched as a stream of loud and chaotic students swarming out of the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom. Behind them, a Cornish Pixie was seen escaping and when they looked inside they saw the room filled with them.
"Did he find a nest of Cornish Pixies or did he bring them in himself?" John asked.
"Judging by the cage, I think it is safe to assume he brought it upon himself." Felix said.
Then they watched a small brown hair witch with buck teeth raise her wand and freeze all the Pixies. Which Felix assumed to be Hermione Granger since his nephew Harry was hanging around her with a red-haired boy.
"A bit rigid but well done." John commented.
"I guess she is very studious. Judging from the amount of books her book bag holds compared to the others." Felix said. "Well, let's go, we only got an hour before Angel's lesson is done."
"What is the rush?" John asked.
"She wants to design a new heavily enchanted outfit. So I have to help her design it and pick out the enchantments. That is going to take probably the rest of the day." Felix replied. "The enchantment isn't hard, but the appearance is."
Angel can't be said to be bad, but unlike him who already has a complete idea, she didn't. So he estimated it will take the rest of the afternoon to get her outfit planned. Then he could spend the next while crafting both outfits.
"Alright." John just nodded.
So coming to the old classroom where they used to craft and make the magic items during their school years. Upon being hired, Felix spent a few days taking it over once more and remodeled it a bit. Hence it became a workshop once more for the three of them.
"It's been a while since I've been in this room." John commented.
"Mmm." Felix just hummed as he sat down in his suitcase.
Then he reached inside and began to dig around for a bit before pulling out a hide and a small branch from the World Tree. Well, even if he called it a small branch, the piece he pulled out is thicker than five big men.
"This is going to take more than an hour." John commented tapping the wooden branch.
It didn't sound like normal wood for the density of this branch made it among one of the hardest things in the world. Thanks to this, very few knew how to work properly with this wood. Luckily, both of them did so after pulling out a couple masks and tools. They quickly split the branch and stored it away leaving a small block for use.

"That took longer than expected." Felix wiped the sweat on his forehead.
Forty minutes of sawing was tiring. Even so, that was with both of them taking turns to get this block.
"This is why I don't really like using this wood. It is so tiring to work with this wood. If magic is used around it, the hardness multiples many times over." John waved his hand on his face.
"Even so, it is one of the few options for what we are making." Felix sighed.
"Why are you even making it? Most of your items barely get used." John asked.
"So? Collection and who knows maybe it can be used in the future." Felix explained. "Maybe when we travel the multiverse we might end up in a world where it could be used."
"Traveling again?" John looked in disbelief.
"Not anytime soon." Felix replied.
John let out a sigh of relief hearing this. It is not that he is against traveling, but if they travel to different universes, he is afraid how long it will take for them to find their way back. This is entirely because at present only Felix can transverse universes and with his sense of direction…it might take eons.
"Alright, enough rest. Time to get back to work."
Felix said as he grabbed his tools and went to work shaping the block of wood into the drum shape. During which John went to work on the hide prepping it so when the wood is done they can put it on and finish off the Sacred Drum. Luckily Felix has already mapped and did most of the work.
So, due to losing track of time, time slipped away for them as they focused whole heartily on what is before them. Angel, who Felix was supposed to meet up with just came to keep them company while working on her outfit. Once in a while she would ask Felix his opinion.
Finally late into the night, Felix held the base of the Sacred Drum in his hands. So, John who finished not long ago since the hide in question was specially treated that makes it almost on par with World Tree Wood let out a sigh.
After a small rest, they tied the hide and finished the Sacred Drum.
