"Oh, what's her name?" Dumbledore asked curiously.
"Hermione Granger."
It came as a bit of a surprise to Felix that his old physical trainer was the grandfather of one of the main trio of the Harry Potter series. However, that was about it. His old trainer said that his granddaughter is a bookworm and too serious. Hence, upon knowing that he will be a professor at the school, he asked should there was an opportunity to help her, fine but if not don't worry.
"Isn't one of Harry's friends?" Angel said. "I think I remember him mentioning that name a few times."
"Before we get more sidetrack, who is going to wait for them to arrive?" John asked.
"I don't mind." Felix volunteered.
He opened his suitcase and pulled out Chastiefol in its pillow form to sit on. While his body is much stronger and he could walk the castle easily now. This pillow was just very comfortable and able to fly with him on it.
"How about I stay and just lead them to my classroom." John suggested.
The worry of Felix getting lost was fairly high on the list. John knew that Felix's sense of direction has improved as he can now arrive at the destination. Just the path to get there is what worries him as their globe trotting, he lost count how many dangers could have been avoided Felix didn't lead.
John mind raced through various situations such as the time they went to a primitive tribe of cannibals when Felix wanted to go to a restaurant. There was another where they ended up in a coven of Veela enjoying a hot spring when out for a stroll. Something Angel sighed about when they returned full of smiles from the sight.
"Why don't I just have Slughorn do it. You three need to be present during the feast for introductions." Dumbledore suggested.
"Alright." Neither Felix or John had much opinion on this.
--
As the time for the Opening Feast drew closer, Felix was in the Great Hall, tapping his pen on a journal before him. He was breaking down the steps to make his new project, a Sacred Drum that is able to stun enemies and heal oneself and allies.
This will be the first time he actually crafts something with Sacred in its name. While he had run across some artifacts considered as such, he never crafted one himself. This is also a fairly high level one too despite the simple design, the magic involved wasn't.
"Felix, my friend."
Suddenly a flamboyant voice called out to him making Felix look up at who was speaking to him. During his travels he has met various who called out to him in various ways. Just, he wasn't ready to see a wavy blonde man with a smile full of shiny white teeth. His outfit is just as flamboyant as his voice.
"Lockhart." Felix said after a minute.
"Indeed, Gilderoy Lockhart, Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Dark Force Defence League, and five-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award."
"Did you need something?" Felix ignored the titles.
To him most of Gilderoy Lockhart's titles were meaningless. If someone asked Felix to recite most of his own titles. It would be a headache as he didn't actually keep track of them. Granted most of these titles were meaningless such as creator of Philosopher Stone, Holder of the Most Dangerous Suitcase, Walking Arsenal, Archmage Grindelwald, Artifact Prodigy and so on. Either due to his display of magic or creating some new trinket for the fun of it, a new title will appear from time to time.
"I have heard you have been granted permission to create a floating island." Gilderoy smiled. "If you run into any issue, don't feel ashamed to ask me for help. I don't mean to brag, but I have experimented with such magic during my travels."
Felix paused his pen tapping as he just blankly stared at the idiot before him. He mentally counted down in his head before ignoring him. It will be a long year with this fool around as clearly Lockhart forgot they were in the same year or viewed a fantasy instead of reality.
"John, I heard you were teaching on how to create magic items. I extend the same offer as I have dabbled in that field as well."
Gilderoy seemed to realize that Felix was ignoring and changed targets. So John, who was next to Felix reviewing his lesson plans for seven years, found himself under siege.
"Hmm, did you say something?" John asked.
"He was saying he dabbled in the field in creating magic items." Professor Flitwick who just arrived said.
"Oh, Professor Flitwick, I have some questions about how to teach. Do you mind if I ask you some." John ignored Gilderoy.
"I don't mind. However, I think you should be fine." Flitwick smiled. "Also, you don't have to call me Professor Flitwick in this setting, I am not your professor anymore. Just call me Filius or Flitwick if you want."
"I will try." John scratched his cheek.
