Chapter 221 - 221: Pirate King Boros

"Kizaru, do you know where Earth is?"

Boros immediately asked, barely able to hold back his excitement. In his eyes, the Dragon Ball manga was basically a prophetic text.

In other words, Super Saiyans had to be real.

If he could roam the galaxy for twenty years searching for a prophesied warrior, then sailing the universe again in search of Super Saiyans was no big deal.

"If you ever find it, let me know,"

Kizaru said with a complicated expression as he patted Boros on the shoulder.

Was this the final form of being an otaku—truly believing that manga characters were real?

"Don't worry! …Hmm? This place isn't the same planet as before?"

Boros glanced around.

Even though he didn't have Haki or other perception abilities, he could clearly sense that this One Piece world was fundamentally different from both the One Punch Man and Detective Conan worlds.

"Ah, this is my world. I brought you here to ask for a little help…"

Kizaru briefly explained the general situation in the One Piece world—including the existence of Imu.

When Boros heard that this world had warriors stronger than the highest-ranking combatants, and even beings that Kizaru himself was wary of, his eyes lit up.

While top-tier warriors were still just cannon fodder to Boros, fighters stronger than that… now those were interesting.

"The Pirate King, huh? Leave it to me!"

Boros declared confidently. But instead of sailing the Grand Line like everyone else, he planned to simply beat the so-called Yonko and every big-name pirate into submission.

That was how he became the ruler of the universe in the first place.

Of course, he also had a small personal motive.

All of his elite subordinates had died—so why not use this world as a recruitment ground?

If those so-called Yonko really were stronger than his former men, he could train with them during his downtime.

"Oh, right—if you run into the Navy, try to show a little restraint…"

Kizaru brought along the mothership of the Dark Matter Pirate Crew—the Dominator.

There were still several hundred surviving space pirates aboard the ship, perfect as disposable tools.

"The Navy, huh? Got it,"

Boros didn't really care. "Hold back" probably meant he could still fight—just don't kill them outright.

"This is a Log Pose to Wano Country. Follow the needle and you'll find Kaido. As for the rest, just capture a few pirates along the way and interrogate them for intel."

Kizaru handed over the pre-prepared Eternal Pose to Boros, then turned back into light and returned to the warship. Boros returned to the Dominator, casually tossing the Eternal Pose to one of his subordinates and ordering them to follow its direction.

---

While Boros was heading to Wano, Kizaru—having returned to the warship—checked in with Ai Haibara, and, with her permission, brought her into the One Piece world as well.

"Yo, did you move your whole lab over or what?"

Kizaru looked exasperated as Haibara checked through the scientific equipment she had shipped ahead of time. The captain's quarters, which had once felt spacious, now seemed a bit cramped.

"Well, since I'm already here, I figured I might as well do some basic biological surveys of this world."

After confirming that her equipment was intact, Haibara answered righteously.

These instruments had cost her a fortune, and she had to rely on Tony Stark to help her acquire them.

Even in the Marvel world, they were top-of-the-line tech. Some were even "gifts" from Dr. Bofoi of the One Punch world.

For a researcher, this gear was as priceless as a Supreme Grade sword is to a swordsman. If it weren't for the unique research opportunities in the One Piece world, she never would've brought so much.

"Tch, just so we're clear—I don't have a lot of time to help you collect samples," Kizaru said lazily, legs crossed. As the newly minted Fleet Admiral, he certainly didn't have time to indulge a little girl's whims.

Of course, if it were Shiho Miyano, he wouldn't mind helping out a beautiful scientist.

But Ai Haibara? Even Kizaru, known for his wide-ranging tastes, hesitated.

---

"Didn't you say you were capturing dinosaurs for that playboy to raise? I'll start with the dinosaurs of this world!"

Haibara had her own plans all along. While her main focus was pharmaceutical chemistry, biology was also a major interest.

And dinosaurs? As the most popular prehistoric species in scientific circles, she'd obviously be intrigued.

---

"Hmm, I guess that's fine. The promotion ceremony isn't for a while anyway. I'll arrange for someone to take you to meet up with Vivian. As for safety…"

Kizaru scratched his head.

He wasn't officially Fleet Admiral yet—and even if he were, he couldn't just casually assign an Admiral to protect a little girl.

Sending a Vice Admiral might be… a bit underwhelming?

Maybe he had spent too much time dealing with top-tier threats, because to Kizaru, Vice Admirals were basically slightly stronger background characters.

They were fine for beating up small fry pirates—but guaranteeing absolute safety? Eh, not quite enough.

"I already 'rented' Manda from Orochimaru for a month. If necessary, I can call in Orochimaru himself."

Haibara spoke a bit reluctantly.

She wouldn't have come to such a dangerous world without proper preparations.

If she weren't still waiting to turn back to her original form so she could commission a properly sized Iron Man suit from Tony Stark, her security detail would've been even better.

The problem was… Orochimaru's "services" were very expensive. Just renting Manda for a month cost 200 Dimensional Credits, and requesting Orochimaru's personal appearance would be at least 1,000.

Luckily, thanks to her research skills and the joint lab she had with Tony Stark and Orochimaru, Haibara had earned a lot of Dimensional Credits—enough to be considered a little rich girl in the chat group.

"Manda and Orochimaru, huh? Then it should be fine. When I get back to HQ, I'll assign a ship to take you to Little Garden."

Kizaru stroked his chin and nodded—Manda's combat power was indeed remarkable. A typical Vice Admiral wouldn't stand a chance against it.

As for Orochimaru, he was definitely at Shichibukai level, and among the Shichibukai, one of the stronger ones at that.

Even two of someone like Moriah, that bloated couch potato, wouldn't be his match.

With Orochimaru as a protective charm, Haibara Ai would almost certainly be safe in the first half of the Grand Line.

---

"Are you about to be promoted to Fleet Admiral?"

Haibara sat down on the couch and glanced at the letter of appointment on the table, asking curiously.

As one of the most active members in the dimensional chat group, Haibara had a decent grasp of Kizaru's situation and the world of One Piece.

Just the thought that Kizaru was about to become the supreme commander of over a million marines made her expression tighten.

It felt just like discovering that the silly meme buddy you always joked around with online was secretly the president of one of the world's top superpowers.

Even if he still acted like a goofball, it was hard for a normal person to remain completely unaffected in his presence.

---

"Yeah, it's about time. When the World Government eventually collapses, it makes more sense for a Fleet Admiral to step in and stabilize the world than just a regular Admiral."

Kizaru replied calmly.

It was tough bottling up so many plans inside—having someone to talk to helped.

This was probably why villains in stories loved to monologue to the heroes; after enduring for so long, a bit of triumphant boasting was only natural.

Besides, Haibara had no conflicting interests with him and was far too smart to leak his plans. There was no harm in sharing.

---

"That sounds terrifying. You're talking exactly like one of those supervillains or shadowy masterminds..."

Haibara twitched her lips. If she didn't know for a fact that Kizaru was genuinely a good person—or at least firmly on the side of justice—she might've suspected he was orchestrating some massive conspiracy.

"Haha, I thought the same! But don't you think it fits the mood perfectly?"

Kizaru laughed heartily.

Even the hyper-cautious Five Elders probably couldn't imagine that while they were busy fighting over Pure Gold, Kizaru was already setting plans in motion to overthrow their 800-year reign.

Haibara fought the urge to roll her eyes. So even after becoming the top figure of the Navy, her ridiculous online buddy was still the same silly man at heart.

Meanwhile, as Kizaru brought Haibara back to Marineford, the long-awaited Summit War headlines finally exploded across the world after a full day and night of delay—shocking everyone.

The Whitebeard Pirates, Red-Haired Pirates, and Revolutionary Army had joined forces against Marine Headquarters. Yet, the result was the death of one Yonko, another seriously injured, and massive casualties among both Yonko fleets.

And the Navy?

Though they suffered heavy losses among the lower ranks, virtually none of their high-ranking officers were harmed. This overwhelming military strength shook the seas to their core.

Even with Sengoku retiring under such circumstances, no one could claim he hadn't fulfilled his duty brilliantly.

What would've been earth-shattering news on any other day had exploded like a volcano during the Summit War. It's said that Big News Morgans was so excited that night he had a heart attack and landed in the hospital.

Right now, all eyes around the world were "locked" onto Marineford. The pirates of the New World were like startled birds—fleeing at the mere sight of a Navy warship.

Fortunately, good news arrived soon after: the man who had led the Navy to deliver a crushing blow to two Yonko fleets and brought glory back to Marine HQ—Fleet Admiral Sengoku—was retiring!

When this news spread through the underworld, the pirates who had been trembling with anxiety were instantly overjoyed—some even joked about pooling money to donate to the World Government in gratitude.
