Elia didn't realise she had to fulfil her side of the deal so soon after agreeing to it. Right now, she sat beside Ash inside his room on a couch while he held her close. He had insisted that she sit on his lap, but she thought it was too much and refused. Ash relented and settled with her head resting on his shoulder while he held her hand.
"We can go to bed if this is uncomfortable." His suggestion made her glare at him. "I can hold you there"
"No thanks!" She vehemently disagreed with his suggestion. "I'll leave if you suggest that again." And the way he said it unsettled her to no end. What did he mean by holding her in the bed? This man was prone to saying things that led to misunderstandings.
"Alright, alright." She felt him sigh, but he took this chance to pull her closer to him. Now she was practically hugging him, with his arm around her side. It was like this was a compensation for not agreeing with his earlier suggestion.
