Chapter 26 - Chapter 6: Part 4

We were all in a stalemate of sorts. We didn't know what to do with each other and that made the situation somewhat awkward. Me, Gojo, and Albus had our eyes on the skeleton specifically. The mana cascading off of him was very dense. It was a seasoned mage and it would be foolish to attack him without sufficient preperation. The knight, apparently not wanting to waste his 'chance', ran towards us and the skeleton, who was still and full of red glow, moved.

It raised its claws and made a crushing motion with his fist as he uttered a spell.

"Grasp Heart"

A squelching sound echoes as he closed his fist and the body of the knight fell to the ground, its body dead and without motion. Now it was just us and the skeleton, and we were apparently joined by someone in black metal armor with a large axe by their side. We were waiting for something until the skeleton spoke true words and not the mindless grumbles of common skeletons.

"Who are you?" it asked, its jaws barely moving yet words echoed into the surrounding. It was no telepathy nor usage of magic to form words. It was words, which shouldn't have been uttered by a skeleton with no lungs no tongue. We were silent as we didn't know how to respond, and his armored companion didn't seem to take that kindly.

"You will answer, insects!" her screaching was heard by all over the forest. I looked at her, it obvious she was a women by her voice. However, her mana was also somewhat high yet it didn't feel like she was a true caster like her master. "Calm it Albedo, we need to be cordial" said the lich as he turned to us.

"Are you guys with the ones in armor?" asked the lich as he pointed to the dead soldier laying on the forest floor. "No, in fact we are not liking them at this moment due to some action on their part" I explained as Albus and Gojo seemed more relaxed. It was quite a precarious situation. "So, your against them?" he asked, his eyes seemingly growing brighter. "Thats what he said" Gojo remarked sarcastically, and Albedo took it personally.

"You miserable insects!" she screeched as she lunged towards Gojo with her heavy axe and struck at him. Yet something caught her off guard, her axe struck the infinity between him and her and essentially stopped. I believe the science behind it was Achilles and the tortoise .

"What!?" shouted both the Lich and Albedo. Gojo smirked, taking in the pleasure of their shocked faces and the nature of the situation. "Its Achilles and the tortoise" said Gojo, and the lich widened his eyes as if he recognized the theory. 'Is he from another world' I looked at him, analyzing him and his mana.

It was his mana, yes that much was true, yet it felt like it was foreign. Like an imaginary phenomenon was brought to life. My focus however was taken off of that as I saw Albedo jump back from her position and ready her axe again. Her body seemingly became a blur as as she dashed forward and readied her axe. As she was about to strike, the Lich shouted "Stop!".

Gojo conjured a sphere of red, it was small yet it blew Albedo away with great might. She flew through the tree tops and landed with a great thud. "Dear lord" said the Lich as he observed the phenomena as he looked at us. "I suppose I should ask, are you guys from Japan?". "Well, I'm from England along with Albus. Gojo on the other hand is from Japan" I gestured to the relevant parties as he gazed at us.

"Your powers aren't typical from Japan or the normal world in general. Yet, I don't think your lying either" he muttered as he rubbed his non-existent beard. His behaviour was strange and it was quite peculiar. "Well I suppose I should introduce myself. I am Suzuki Satoru, also known as Ainz Ooal Gown" he bowed.

"Huh, chuuni" I looked at him as the words suddenly slipped out as he fell to the ground. "Seriously" he groaned as he got up, the atmosphere from before slipping away very quickly. It was quite comical though, so I laughed a little. "So Suzuki" I said with a familiar tone. He looked at me weirdly, the reason already known to me. "Where are you from and how did you get like this?" It was a simple question yet it opened a deluge of information that seemed to paint a very bleak picture.

A world that was destroyed by pollution and human greed. It was a world that basically was destroyed down to its core and shoved away from the world by the corporations that lived there. Then there was the Dive massive multipalter online role playing game(DMMORPG) known as Yggdrasil, was considered the greatest escape from the destroyed world.

"So let me get this straight, you were waiting for a game to shut down, the game Yggdrasil, and then you woke up in another world" the incredulous words left my mouth and they still sounded as ridiculous as they came. But my own situation was weirder, so I cannot even comment on it.

"Pretty much it, oh and the fact I am now my game character" said Momonga as he pointed to himself. I had a feeling the weirdness is only going to get weirder from here. Then came the steps of an armored women, and Albedo has returned.

"Albedo, stop fighting, their allies" he smoothly delivered the line which seemingly placated Albedo, only barely though. "So, what now?" Albus asked as he stood off to the side. It appears his own mana was super agitated and it was overwhelming. His side as a warrior and an expert caster of the mysterious arts was one of pure strength.

"I was originally coming here to help a village" said Ainz, his skeleton face not really moving. I wonder if it was because of game limitations. "So there's a village nearby, huh" Albus muttered as he moved his hand as his wand, which was eminating a powerful force, was seemingly ready for use in battle. Ainz in particular gazed at his wand with no small interest which made me curious.

"So lets go save the village" Gojo shouted. He was a bit more impatient than us but he had his own strengths and vices. "Yes, lets go!" Ainz shouted and began to lead the way before he stopped and stood over the dead knight and muttered and used some strange ability as a mass of darkness entered the body and began to mutate it.

What came of it was a hulking undead knight with a wide, bastard sword and shield, and with a swift command began to follow us to the nearby village. The forest was somewhat large, but not large enough to be a long travel. Only a couple minutes and we were upon a village beset by knights, and I used the term in the loosest sense.

Killing innocents in a wonton manner, wh

at look like the corpses of children in the streets, and even a knight was dragging a poor woman by her hair, and his intentions couldn't have been pure. Not wanting to wait around and risk the situation evolving to something worst, I gathered the mana within myself, my source spurning to action.

My body was cloaked in a hazy energy as I dashed forward towards the knight dragging the woman. He looked surprised but he was too late to react as I was in his face. My fist which I dragged back rushed forward as his head turned into a blood puddle beneath is body.

The others seemingly did not wait for any signal and went straight to war. Gojo dashed forward, his fist enveloped by cursed energy. He got into a fist fight with some of the knights and it was obvious he was winning. He didn't even need to use his curse technique as he hand the knights their ass.

Albus on the other hand was something fierce. His face was hardened like a warrior and his mana began to surge as he was throwing people left and right, and weaving a storm of water and wing like he was trying to summon a hurricane. The knights never even stood a chance.

Ainz just sent forward his skeleton death knight, cutting through swathes of living flesh, the squelching sounds of flesh and bone echoing through the battle field. I was not lacking on the front either as I made use of my technique which I decided to name . Using the technique, I pierced soldiers with spears of earth and their squirming bodies were in the air, blood flowing on the spike.

As the evening rose on, the knights were defeated. It wasn't tiring and we all had energy to spare. As we were observing the village, the distinct sounds of hoofs clamping on earth was near. As group of horses mounted by armed men entered the village, one dismounted his horse and looked around and then his eyes locked to us.

He made his way over and bowed as he greeted us. "My name is Gazef Stronoff" he said and continued with "Knight of the Re-Eztise kingdom."
