Taozi followed Shen Siyuan to the balcony, plopped down on the rattan chair, let out a long sigh, and patted her chest softly, "I was so scared just now. Grandma getting angry is really frightening."
Shen Siyuan sat down next to her, amused, "You didn't do anything wrong, what are you scared of?"
"I'm afraid Grandma will scold me too, seeing as she's on a tear," Taozi blinked and said righteously, "When Grandma's eyes sweep over us during a telling-off, my legs go weak."
Shen Siyuan shook his head with a smile, reaching out to pinch her face, "You're clever enough to know when to bolt."
"Of course, I've learned it from Dou Dou," Taozi proudly raised her chin, and no sooner had she spoken than she burst into laughter.
Just as they were chatting, the balcony door opened slightly, and Dou Dou's little head peeked in, cautiously looking around to confirm that Tang Tang wasn't following, she finally relaxed and ran in with her little legs.
