At the main passage, Noralia had to steady herself against the Imperial Guard Beetle to keep her balance.
"What's happening?"
Yuna looked up at the red lines of light racing across the tunnel ceiling.
"The Nest Core is about to self-destruct."
Noralia immediately looked in the direction Noan had gone. Before she could speak, a group of A-rank insect soldiers surged out of the tunnel ahead.
All thirty Meteor Warriors advanced at once. Silver light flashed through their formation, and spears pierced the newly arrived soldiers before they could get close.
Elsewhere, six S-rank Guardians were trying to break through the defensive line. A Jade Rabbit leaned aside to avoid a descending pincer, leaped onto the Guardian's head, and swung its mallet.
BAM!
The Guardian staggered.
A second Jade Rabbit appeared behind it.

Its legs buckled.
