Armaros and Fanah got ready with their weapons as the eyes of the statue glowed and then it started to move as it looked at the two of them as glowing lines appeared over it and it's weapon as it got into a stance.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me." Armaros said as he groaned at the sight.
The statue charged at them, the place slightly shaking due to its size as the two cursed under their breath as the door had also closed behind them as they charged at the thing as well while the statue glowed with Mana.
It swung the spear in front of it, as it became wreathed in flames as it came towards the two as Armaros quickly went down on his knees and slid across the floor as he leaned his head back and dodged the attack as Fanah jumped over it, the two feeling the heat of the flames as they knew that they couldn't afford to get hit by it.
He had slid in between the statues legs as he quickly got up and immediately gathered mana in his sword and immediately slashed it's left foot, and managed to destroy a considerable part of its back foot, though not enough as it was still able to move.
Fanah had also attacked at this time as she striked the right knee of the statue, knowing that limiting it's movement is the priority at the moment as she gathered her mana in the sword and striked, almost fully destroying the knee as it was cracked now.
She immediately jumped out of the reach of the statues hands as it went to grab her, before it used it's left hand to slash at her with the spear as it hit the floor and cracked and destroyed it.
Armaros had used this opportunity to gain some distance as he observed the statue and noted that it is a bit slow in its movements. Mind you it is still very fast but not on the same level as the ogre and so much easier for him to track as it quickly pulled the spear and swiped it at Fanah as his slave summersaulted over it.
But the statue had anticipated that as it kicked her and launched her into the wall as he winced as she made a crater in the wall as she gasped as he gathered mana in his right hand as he created an orb of cold energy.
Not wanting to miss this chance he launched the orb straight at the statutes hips, managing to hit it and then encase it's hips, torso and thighs in ice and managing to immobilize it's movements for a short while.
Something that Fanah immediately took advantage of to get out of the crater and make distance between herself and the statue as she winced and gently grabbed her right side as he noticed it as he charged at the statue as he already saw the cracks on the ice.
He created a spear of earth using mana and filled it with it before he threw it at the cracked foot where he had attack as it hit and managed to destroy the foot, causing it to lose its footing as the statue staggered.
But he wasn't done as he created another one and threw it at the right knee, taking advantage of the stagger of the statue, the attack connecting and destroying it's knee as Fanah also got ready with her own sword as she noticed the chance.
She ignored the pain in her side and dashed towards the incapacitated statue as she went to destroy it, her sword being charged with her own Mana as it glowed with power.
Only for flames to erupt from the statue and charge towards her as her eyes widened and she was forced to do an acrobatic maneuver to dodge the flames as he slashed and split the flames that almost hit her as she clicked her tongue.
Armaros was also attacked by the flames but her instead charged through it, using his mana to create a small barrier around his body as he rushed through the flames and reached the statue his sword already ready with mana covering it as he went to attack.
Only for the statue to backhand him immediately, it's hand covered in lightning as he was electrocuted and sent sailing through the air as he cried out as he fell and rolled on the floor before he righted himself and crouched to look at the statue, only for him to jump to the side to dodge a lightning strike as it blackened and cracked the floor, smoke coming from it as he swore.
'We have to defeat it fast.' Armaros thought to himself as he ran at the statue as Fanah was dodging the flames and lightning attacks.
'By Khaheli, this is hard.' Fanah thought to herself as she had to dodge another attack.
Armaros weaved through the attacks from the statue as he noticed it starting to create it's destroyed parts as his eyes widened and his gaze hardened as he filled his entire body with mana like he had done with the ogre and disappeared for a few moments.
He appeared beside the statue, his eyes glowing with mana and his own body strengthened by it as his roared and slashed at the statue with a lot of his mana concentrated on his blade.
The weapon sliced through the air at a speed that was imperceptive for Fanah, and even the statue was unable to follow it, before a slanted slash sliced went right through it and sliced it up as the slash completely went through its left leg and went from its leg to the right shoulder, completely severing it into two pieces as it fell down and it's now severed body crashed into the floor as Fanah breathed a sigh of relief as the attacks had ceased.
The lines on the statue vanished as the two took a moment to gather themselves as they looked at each other as his eyes went to her side.
"Do your side hurt, the right ribs I mean." Armaros asked her as he gestured to it.
"I'm fine. Are we sure that it has been taken care of?" Fanah asked as she looked at the statue.
"I believe so." Armaros said to her, though the two were ready to act should anything else happen.
But nothing happened, save for cracks to appear all over the entire statue before it broke down and turned into small chunks as the two humans were surprised as they moved away from it and were ready with their weapons for anything to happen.
But nothing happened as the two cautiously made their way to the statue and something gleamed in the rubble as Armaros narrowed his eyes as he walked over the broken statue and looked at the source of the glint as it was where the head of the statue was.
His eyes widened as he saw a spear, the very same one that was in the hand of the God, in the rubble of the head as he looked at it cautiously and then grabbed it and lifted it up, and raised it to have a better look at it alongside Fanah.
The entire weapon seemed to be made out of gold, with the blade being the most unique part of the weapon. It was in the shape of the triangle, but more ornate, the upper part of the blade are two sides which were made of the same material and gleamed in the light, it didn't have the lower half of the triangle, instead it was connected by a circle in between the two sides of the blade which was connected to the shaft, the tip gleaming as the two sides ended with sharp ends, giving it purchase in stabs, slices and if needed pulling back as well, a design which is quite unique in comparison to the simple design used by spears now.
But that wasn't the best part of the weapon. It was certainly very strong and was made with good material, not surprising considering the fact that it was used by a God, or it was just modelled after his weapon. But perhaps the most important and defining thing about the weapon was the divinity that he is able to feel from it.
He was familiar with the energy of the divine and he had also seen the weapons of his mother and is quite familiar with the energy and aura of it.
'A divine weapon.' Armaros thought to himself as he couldn't believe it.
A divine weapon is very very very rare, rarer than the most valuable jewels and metals in the lands. They stand in a greater tier than any weapon created as per his knowledge and he had already seen the strength of the weapons used by his mother, even if not fully.
A divine weapon could rarely be contended against by other weapons, as only very powerful magic or attacks will be able to actually damage, and there are rarely people able to actually mustre the strength to actually do something like that. It's very valuable and one of the most powerful types of weapons in the world.
But then the spear thrummed as his eyes widened before it glowed and he felt a pain on his chest, right over his heart as his eyes widened as he let go of his sword and grabbed his chest as Fanah's eyes widened.
He grunted as he immediately grabbed his clothes and pulled it up to see his chest and his eyes widened as a faint emblem appeared on his chest, right over his heart, the same emblem that was on the statue and all over the temple as his and Fanah's eyes widened.
'Shit.' Armaros thought to himself in shock.
