Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 6

Niramol washes the plates she used for dinner and immediately heads for bed. She bounced on his bed as if it were natural, which was unexpected because Trevor did not expect her to feel so at ease around him.Yes, it felt natural to her, but he would never understand.

He wanted to sleep somewhere else, but the bed was the only place that could support his weight. Silently, he prayed that his guests would not interpret his actions as meaningful. Fortunately for him she didn't . She started asking him a lot of personal questions after they had been silent for a while.

She asked him, "What does it feel like to grow up in an orphanage?" after he revealed that he had grown up in one.

"Alone,....it's so hard there but again there's no place on earth that is easy to stay you know" His face turned to face her, and she nodded.

Did you wish you were aware of your parents' identities?she asked

She repeated her question whenTrevor appeared to be deep in thought for a few moments before responding.

"I am not sure because I was surrounded by children who are more like me in terms of parenting, so I do not think I had wished for them.

She gave a sorrowful smile. She wanted to do something to help him because she could feel his pain, but he added

"Even if I had a family. They wouldn't be proud of me cos there's nothing to be proud of " He said smiling a her. She gazed at his handsome face. Why would he say something like that? She thought somberly. Of course, His parents, whoever they may be, would undoubtedly be pleased that they had produced a beautiful specimen for a child. She looked at him as he gazed up at the ceiling. Life is not easy isnt it? With regret, she thought. She is aware of how difficult it is because her family has lived below the poverty line. However, she had a family and they had been content together until her father suffered a stroke and lost his ability to work, leaving her mother to shoulder the family's burden.Being a poor farmer, her mother was unable to cover all of the family's costs, particularly her father's medical bills. So she had wanted to help. She could not just sit back and watch her family suffer, so she ran to her friend Jutharath for help, as she had previously told her about an agency that recruits young men and women for good jobs overseas. She had further encouraged her by claiming that it was an NGO that empowers young people throughout Asia. She had foolishly begged Jutharath to assist her, and she had done so. She had then traveled to the United States, specifically to New York, where they had forced her into prostitution. When she flatly refused, they arranged for a group of men to entice her into it by having sex with her, then they would use the situation to emotionally abuse her until she agreed. But instead those men has killed her why at it.

She should have exacted revenge. She could have become a vengeful spirit, known as the phi tai hong in Thai culture, due to her tragic death. Well yes she had wanted to kill those men but she couldn't. Even though she is defending her death by killing them, she was not a murderer when she was alive. But since she had been a ghost spying on them for the first five years, she knew who they were. Even though they deserved it, she has met other ghosts who died through the same process as her and came to the conclusion that they would undoubtedly die, but not at her hands because there are other angry ghost who won't rest until these people are rewarded for their evil deeds. She hopes that her family is doing well.

"Can I stay with you for a little while? She begged, "I have nowhere to go."

Trevor's eyes met hers. Did he trust her? He thought. Even though he does not have enough to feed himself, let alone her, he still wanted to assist. Since no one enjoys poverty, he knows she would leave if she discovered he had nothing to offer financially, and he would not hold it against her. He nodded, turned to the other side of the bed, turned off the lamp, and went to sleep, but not before he had one final thought: of course, there are moments when he wishes he had a family. a family, such as sister Agnes, who would love him without conditions, even if he was experiencing extreme misfortune and they would both plan the future together and be afraid of nothing because they have each other. Well he can't be brooding over somerging he never had

He awoke the following morning to a pleasant scent coming from the kitchen. Completely forgetting that he now had a roommate, he wondered who was cooking. It was not until he noticed a woman in his kitchen that he realized he had a roommate. Awkwardly, he muttered, "Good morning." When did he last say that to someone? That was a long time. With a smile on her face, she invited him to sit down and gave him coffee and bread for breakfast. With a courteous thank you, he invited her to accompany him she nodded and joined hi.

After breakfast, Trevor took a shower and changed before going to sell his painting at the new location he had discovered. He shook his head when Niramol offered to accompany him. She claimed she did not know what to do if she stayed back, but he clarified that she needed to rest from her prior wandering around the street and that she was unclothed. "I will look better in his shirt," she said when he asked what kind of clothing she would wear. But she can not wear these out, right? But she insisted, and he agreed, but he still wondered why she is not concerned about what people might say or look at her as they pass by.after he waited foe her to take her bathe and dress up he carried his painting and She also helped him carry some of his paintings mimicking the way he do carry them. They called the cab and left
