Chapter 310 - Chapter 310 - 7 Days in Aretuza, Negotiations and Skill Development.

[Chapter Size: 2500 Words.]

Third Person POV

Aretuza.

...

...

The girl fell panting to the ground after Madara transferred years of experience from several witches that he had acquired through his Sharingan and implanted everything into Isabella's mind.

The girl received only 5% of the knowledge, which, for someone so young at that moment, was too much, and she simply collapsed, fainting shortly after. If Madara had transferred more, she would have had a short circuit in her own brain and died.

He placed her on the bed and left her room after seeing that everything was fine. Then, he returned to the library, reading a few more books before sleeping for a bit, since he had been awake for two days straight without stopping to rest.

Madara continued with his research regarding the magics that were being developed. He found some interesting things in the books he read. Shadow magic was something he could develop with new jutsus, better understanding the element itself within his body, since he was rich in Yin.

He also possessed Yang, thanks to Mokuton, which should be the requirement to awaken the Rinnegan in his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

He would now focus more on Yin, still not knowing how to work with the Yang element, since there was nothing very useful to learn. Yin already seemed intelligent to use for espionage techniques, such as hiding in shadows beneath people's feet, like Jiraiya had done in the Land of Rain, or even paralyzing enemies with specific techniques of the Nara clan. At the moment, that seemed far more useful to him than elements linked only to light and life.

He could even create Zetsus with Yang, but that did not seem very interesting, since it would require sacrificing people to transform them into vegetables, something like what the divine tree did. Honestly, he did not need a spy network of humanoid vegetables when he could send his own clones, which were far more effective. The Zetsus did have powerful infiltration abilities, but that world did not have people with perceptions so abnormal as to identify him easily, making it useless, and he himself could perhaps learn those abilities and apply them to his Mokuton clones. Therefore, this was not something he was inclined to create at that moment.

Anyway, he slept and checked on Isabella in the morning. The girl had woken up dazed. He did not appear to her nor say anything, simply letting her deal alone with the new knowledge, accompanied by a strong migraine. While the girl placed her hand on her head, still somewhat disoriented, she got ready and went to class.

Madara stayed in the library studying the tomes, looking for more interesting things. Space magic was something all witches possessed, so it was easy to find records, and Madara began to work on them.

Later, he went to the corridors while listening to the rumors at the academy about a certain brown-haired girl who had begun answering her teachers, leaving them speechless since she went to class that day.

Whenever she was questioned about why she was no longer paying attention in class, seeming more interested in debating internally than listening to her magical tutors; when angrily questioned by the teachers for her disrespect, she would simply begin responding with speeches and objective answers, leaving them stunned.

They did not know what that meant, nor how she had acquired so much knowledge from one day to the next, on subjects that had not yet been covered at the academy. They could not do much. They could not even read her mind, which, besides being forbidden, would be impossible due to the protections Madara had placed within the girl's mind.

A teacher stormed out of the rector's office, stomping her foot, clearly irritated, while Madara entered calmly, with Tissaia seeing him and letting out a certain sigh.

"You know, I saw this ability when your wife was being harmed by your child's energy affecting her body..." Tissaia watched as Madara passed the spell she had developed directly to Ciri through his Sharingan.

"... You know, passing a spell with just a glance is already a terrifying thing. Now passing knowledge? Madara… this is absurd...", she murmured with a certain caution.

"You always say that Isabella was never talented, so I thought about bypassing that. As you can see, it's not as if I committed a crime," he shrugged. She even tried to argue, but said nothing.

There was also a certain desire in her eyes. If he could pass knowledge, it meant a lot, but she could not bring herself to say the words that were on the tip of her tongue.

Madara read her expression easily and almost smiled. In fact, he did this on purpose so that she would become interested in his stolen ability.

"What are you thinking? Do you want me to pass you knowledge? Perhaps about medicine?" Madara asked, making her frown, because something told her that he wanted something from her. He continued.

"Obviously, when I looked into your mind in Skellige, I took nothing beyond the spell you created through the very information I passed on after obtaining it from our unicorn. But you have precious knowledge, Tissaia, I must admit that. I was tempted to acquire it without you knowing, but I didn't, because I had said I wouldn't." He paused.

"Even so, I want to propose an exchange, if you wish. Because if you don't agree, I won't do anything, but I will go after Francesca, who is also another woman who holds the title of mage. I already acquired enough information about Vilgefortz before killing him. Even so, it is not enough knowledge for me to be able to create certain jutsus... I need more..." Madara said calmly.

The woman listened to everything in silence, with an indifferent expression, but Madara could see that her eyes shone in a way that betrayed the internal chaos, debating all the information he had just said.

"Alright," she finally said. What was the point? Madara could take that information whenever he wanted. She herself would be powerless before him if he decided to simply steal it. "I want knowledge about the medicine you used to restore your protégé's body," she said at last.

Madara nodded in agreement. Tissaia was not finished.

"I must tell you one thing first. The knowledge Isabella has now is something no girl, not even those about to graduate, should possess. This will certainly draw attention. First because, in a single night, she was completely transformed. Not even people with the same disability as hers, when they learn to control the Chaos in their bodies and become mages, change so quickly or turn out as well as she did. From one night to the next, she simply changed, without any side effects. Can you understand that?"

"Now she simply questions her teachers and argues with them, leaving them speechless. There have already been two who came here to report that she was doing something suspicious and want to know who her sponsor is... shouting that this is not even slightly normal and should be investigated. I managed to contain them, but that doesn't mean they won't spread this beyond Aretuza. Many sorcerers will immediately become interested, will try to get close to her, seduce her, form bonds of friendship to acquire information. You know anything can happen. They have no idea that you are behind her. Perhaps I should announce it to all the organizations of the kingdoms. They fear you and will be cautious once they discover your connection to her, and they won't do anything."

Madara fell silent upon hearing this. Certainly, that was better than being betrayed by Isabella.

"No. This will be a test for her," Madara said calmly. He knew people would be afraid, but there were also enemies far more powerful than the old men of power on the continent who would be after him. It was better that Isabella was not involved in that. Then he continued his argument.

"It will be an approval for Isabella more than anything else... To see if she is suitable to follow me at the court of Cintra. If, by chance, she betrays me… well, I will have no other choice but to kill her."

He said this in a different tone. Tissaia did not show any grimace; on the contrary, she felt no fear or negative reaction to those words. She found Madara's attitude harsh, but she even agreed. She herself would have killed if she were in the same situation and had been betrayed.

"I will try to protect her, but I cannot deal with all the sorcerers of the continent putting pressure on Aretuza along with the kings, if any of them also become interested, even if they are not very comfortable with magic."

"Don't worry about that. I will leave one of my clones here. He will keep an eye on things and carry out whatever is necessary if anything happens," Madara said with a different gleam in his eyes.

He would certainly lose the money he had invested in Isabella, but it was a risk he had decided to take from the beginning. If Isabella truly betrayed him, she would have to be eliminated, because he would never allow that kind of sorceress to enter the court of Cintra. Perhaps he would try with another sorceress, or perhaps he would be satisfied with simply trying to invite Triss and Yennefer, with Mousesack once again to integrate into Cintra, even though he had already said he had no interest.

"Besides, I want a place to train. I need to develop the space jutsu and I would like you to help me with some location here," he asked.

Tissaia nodded. "There is one that no one uses. We can use it. Also, how long do you plan to stay here?"

"Seven days since I arrived. I will stay here learning what I can. Does that seem reasonable to you?" Madara asked.

She nodded. "Alright, we will do that. You can start now acquiring my abilities with spatial magic," she said.

In the next moment, both of them began exchanging information, with Madara guiding the process. He passed on his medical knowledge, and Tissaia passed on her knowledge of spatial magic. Madara absorbed everything quickly, taking only what he was allowed to, with her consent.

They began training by going to a room beneath the academy, a space made for practice, where they could train freely. Madara developed his abilities based on his understanding of space, using the Sharingan, combined with the experience he had acquired from sorcerers and the records from the books.

Three days later, he managed to develop his first ability, something similar to Shunshin no Jutsu, but it had nothing to do with an increase in speed. It was not the Flying Thunder God, but it made him much more flexible on the battlefield, allowing him to teleport over short distances.

He also improved the substitution jutsu, making it much easier to swap his body with objects, and he even developed something that left Tissaia shocked, when he pressed his own eye and tried to create a kind of portal with his Mangekyou, tearing space apart. That was somewhat similar to what sorcerers did, following their logic, but far deeper than simple magic.

Madara wanted to break dimensions.

Tissaia was stunned. By the seventh day, she saw the kind of monster that was developing, imagining that he had already shown all of that in the war and, even so, was growing stronger and stronger... Even so, she had her own progress, using Madara's medical knowledge to take quick notes, create theories, and begin developing new spells and potions, improving existing healing magic. Madara did not care about that; he would certainly do something even deeper than what Tissaia could work on there. He would develop medicine far beyond that once Cintra was reclaimed.

Tissaia was satisfied with the progress, but she could not help feeling disturbed as Madara dealt with his own knowledge. She also saw what he was capable of and what he planned to do after receiving his knowledge.

His goal was to try to create regeneration of his own body and that of others, but not just ordinary regeneration: something that could recreate severed limbs in an instant, or even reverse death, as long as even a single cell with chakra from the body remained. She did not even know the concept of cells until that moment... What he was trying to do was almost to create an immortal being. This made Tissaia feel a slight chill as she thought about it. Madara seemed unstoppable upon reaching that level, and she thought that not even the gods could deal with him.

With his attention now on Isabella, Madara visited her a few times. She was always excited to see him, talking about how her classes were now easy, how she had begun casting simple spells, yet more advanced than those of any of her classmates or even the older students. Her knowledge had shocked everyone, and she was still trying to deal with all of it. She was being bombarded with questions all the time and everyone wanted to be by her side now; she had become the most popular girl at the academy in a matter of days, and no one messed with her anymore, despite the suspicious looks and persistent questions.

Madara had given her only 5% of the knowledge, but he did not plan to give more for now, as her mind still needed to process everything calmly. She already even had the requirements to become a sorceress, if she managed to properly handle the knowledge she had received, and she also needed to let her body first get used to Chaos.

She already possessed meditation techniques and even methods to sense the energy of Chaos, as various mages had developed, and Madara passed on to her all the methods he knew, so that she could choose the one that suited her best, the one that made her feel most comfortable. They were different approaches, coming from various mages whose knowledge Madara had stolen. He passed on the methods of Vilgefortz, Yennefer, Triss, Tissaia, and many other sorcerers from whom he had taken this knowledge.

Seven days had passed since Madara arrived in Aretuza. He spent that time working without stopping. His thoughts also went to Ciri, farther east, wondering how she was dealing with everything. It would be good to stop by the temple before heading to Redania.

He asked Tissaia for a magical object, a communication mirror, and went to say his goodbyes, intending to deliver one to Isabella as well. It was finally time to leave Aretuza, satisfied with all the knowledge he had acquired there over the last seven days.
