If you take a ship piece and replace it until you have replaced the entire ship, is it the same ship you had in the beginning?
The question of the ship matter not, after all it is just a ship, its character and identity matter not. But if one looked at the bigger picture, what if you do the same to a human?
If you take a man since he was born, the baby's bone, cells, and skin tissue are no longer there. His character was formad and reformed far too many times. Even his soul has been shattered too many times to count.
What remains? Are you still you? Or are you by a different copy or what was.
To this many people say one should never lose his original intention, that way even if everything else was different you are still you.
Yet is this not but a way to make oneself feel better about losing the grand path? A forced self placed chain or mortality. A heart that can not change by holding to ones previous self.
If one truly pushed this to an extreme than one would need to hold the beliefs of the child that was, will you fight for a canded hathrown at the cost of everything?
Why ask a question that can never be answered? A turn of the hand and the fall of the man that was.
I ask not because I know the answer, a foolish thing that would have been. A wise man doesn't know but know he doesn't. Thus to ponder at the truths of the myriad worlds, to ask oneself why and how as one attempt to refine himself into a grander self.
