Kendrick walked down the stairs, as his fingers trailed down the handrail.
" Is he finally awake?" Stacey, his wife asked.
Ken walked towards her with a smile plastered on his face. Stacey's face lit up when she was swooped from the ground.
" Yes, my beautiful wife. Aaron is awake," he said burning his face on her neck.
Stacey giggled- her head tilted to the side giving him full access to her neck.
"I'm glad you saved him. Even though you both had your ups and downs," she said
A sigh left his lips. He dropped his wife off at her feet. His fingers combed his hair.
" I know. He's like a brother to me even though we did some shit."
Ken couldn't help but reminisce.
He lost a friend because if a woman. A woman whom he later found was a liar and a manipulator. Amanda. The woman he claimed to love and yet the same woman tried to kill him. He always knew something was different about her. He tried to tell him that night. The night he witnessed- he heard about the conversation. And he witnessed how she killed her parents. He tried to tell Aaron but Amanda had beaten him to that. He lost a lot that night. A friend and a brother. But he had sworn to protect Aaron from her. And he meant it.
"Ken? Where did you go?" Stacey said as she caressed her hand on his face.
"I'm sorry Stacey. I couldn't help it. "
Stacey nodded at him. A smile beamed on her face and she asked;
"What's the plan?"
" How did you know the was a plan?"
Ken furrowed his brows at her.
She rolled her eyes at him and said;
"There is always a plan when you zoom out."
Ken chuckled at her.

Aaron stared blankly at the ceiling. He needed to come up with a solid plan to take down Amanda. He knew that wasn't the only thing she'd done. Causing Mina's accident was something he'd never forgive. Buy before that, he had to know what her past was. He admits they dated and were engaged but he knew little about her. What was wrong with him though? He suggested the engagement without thinking about it. However, that was in the past now. He was grateful that Ken saved his life. Therefore he needed him to help him take Amanda down. He should have listened to his cousin and him when they told him he was out of his mind. He met her barely a month and he thought he was in love with her. He couldn't help but scoff at himself
