She sat elegantly in front of the men in black. The tension in the room was suffocating. Mina interlocks her hands together as she faces them. This was Aaron's men and now they were going to be hers. She had stepped into the position of Aaron. Until he is found she rules.
" Gentlemen. Good evening once again. I'm not going to beat about the bush but listen. Aaron, your master isn't here now. So I Mina Angel is going to take his place. Anyone who is against this can get their ass out of here because I have a baby to protect and a man to look hunt."
The men shift in their seats. They looked at each other, waiting for the first one to move. They couldn't entrust the empire to a woman's hands. Women were delicate to rule. One of the guards cleared his throat. Everyone turned to him.
" Do you have something to say. Troy?" Mina snapped.
" Troy nodded as her adjusted his suit;
"How we trust you. You're a woman."
He dropped the question. The room fell into an uneasy silence. But Mina smiled. A smile that didn't reach her eyes.
" I don't need your trust. I need your cooperation. So what if I'm a woman? Do you have a problem with it? The last time I checked, Aaron didn't."
" But Miss Mina. We need a fearless woman. Not a mother. Someone who can kill without blinking."
She smirked. She stretched her hand towards Mike - her guard. He understood the assignment.
A second later, the gun was in her grip.
Without blinking Mina shot Troy. Not once but twice on his arm. Troy screamed. Clutching his arm, blood spilling onto the floor.
Mina didn't flinch. She handed the gun back to Mike.
" Any more questions?" she asked.
The room fell silent. The heaviness lingered in the room.
" Good. If you'll excuse me. I have to attend to my daughter."
However before she could step out, she paused and looked at Troy.
" And Troy. Next time don't test my patience."
The huge door shut with a loud slam.
