Beorn slammed the sharp edge of his massive sword against the ground, the impact exploding the earth apart as a towering wall of sand rose high, a curtain between him and the looming beasts. Yet the Primordial Beasts, embodiments of chaos itself, did not waver. Instead, they responded with a storm of strikes, horns blazing, massive forged elements unleashed, rods of radiant light, shards of crystalized water gleaming like blue gemstones, and air hardened into glassy spears veined with faint patterns, pierced through the sandstorm, racing toward Beorn's position.
But when the brown veil of sand descended, Beorn was gone.
