Chapter 460 - Ridiculous Statement

(Drakken's POV)

"Well...." I said as I crossed my legs, "Tell me, Alysanne...."

Alysanne sat across from me, holding a cup of tea as she had a frown on her face, "What is it?"

"How does it feel to be a bit more youthful than usual?" I asked her with a smirk on my face, "Feels nice, eh? You no longer feel all the issues from being the age you're supposed to be."

She sighed, "I don't know why you did this to me." She said, "I would have been fine the way I was."

"Does Jaehaerys appreciate it?" I said with a taunting tone, "Hm?"

"Why would you ask me that?" She said with a scowl, "Mind your business, Drakken."

"Hehe." I said, "He's about to turn 60, how does that make you feel?"

"He is my husband." She said seriously, "I don't care how old he is."

"You should." I told her, "He might die of natural causes, which is impressive for a King. In that event, your son takes the Throne. And from there....well, who knows what would happen. We're about to reach a turning point, Alysanne. Your granddaughter Rhaenys will soon marry your grandson. The others will also soon marry...a lot of changes will happen."

"I am aware." She said

"Alyssa's dream sequence." I said, "The probable future she saw. It is about to happen."

She looked at me, "That....."

"Or not." I chuckled, "Worry not. None of that will happen."

"Drakken....." Alysanne said, "Our lives....our fates...they're not things you can just play with."

"On the contrary, Alysanne." I said, "They are. You see, they became just that when you took her from me."

"That was years ago." She said softly, "Have you not gotten over-"

"Of course not." I told her, "I will never forsake her. But no matter."

She looked down, "I don't want my family to suffer due to your ire."

"It will." I told her, "But for now, enjoy that peace. When your husband dies and Aemon becomes king, what would become of you, I wonder...."

"What do you mean?" Alysanne asked

"Are you willing to confuse my Family Tree, haha?" I asked, "Give my children an uncle or aunt....who is their sibling?"

"What???" She said with an angry look, "How could you ask me that while my own husband still lives?! You have done nothing but that in the twenty years we've known each other, Drakken!!!"

"I know." I chuckled, "It's funny, isn't it?"

"It is inappropriate." She stood up, "And I will not have any of it!! You know very well how I feel about that!!"

"I know you love your husband." I said, "And I give you my word that I won't take any part in his eventual demise."

She looked at me, "What are you saying?"

"Future sight.....prophecies...premonitions...." I said, "All of that is very boring to me. I like the thrill of the unknown.....or at the very least, I like controlling said fate and the unknown. So I will ensure that he doesn't die until the right moment. What I mean by that.....is that when he does die, It was meant to be."

"Don't forget that."

[Outside of Harrenhal, Near The God's Eye, A Few Days Later]

Visenya Targaryen sat at the base of a tree, hugging her knees to her chest as she wiped some tears away.

It was all so foreign to her, this sudden revelation that she had died decades ago, and she was brought back to life. Her son, who she swore was but a babe, was suddenly an adult man who towered over her, with an unsettling sight for the eyes. She was told that he had also dead for years and he was resurrected as well.

It was all hard to believe, and she didn't want to believe it.

But something deep down told her it was the truth.

What bothered her the most was that she could not feel the presence of her dragon, Vhagar, whom she could occasionally feel even when they were away from each other. That alone told her that what Maegor told her was true.

Her dragon was dead.

She had been dead for a long time.

And now, she was brought back to the world of the living.

As easily as she accepted that fact, she couldn't bear the realization that everything and everyone she was already long gone.

"Aegon...." Visenya said softly, "That means....you are dead...."

"Mother." Maegor said as he came into view, "You're here. You cannot leave the premises of the cabin."

"Why?" She said, "I am Queen. I can do as I please."

"That is what I thought as well." Maegor said, "As far as I know, I am still the rightful King of The Seven Kingdoms."

"And?" Visenya looked at him, "What have you done about it?"

"Nothing." Maegor said seriously, "Because I could do nothing about it."

"Do you realize how difficult it is for me, Maegor?" Visenya said, "The boy I gave birth to, who I swear is but a babe.....you are telling me that you are him."

"It is me, Mother." Maegor said

"How is any of this possible????" Visenya sniffed, tears forming in her eyes, "How is any of it possible?!"

"I don't know." Maegor said, "But Drakken's power is real. It is absolute. It is greater than anything House Targaryen has experienced."

"Does that mean....." She started, "Does any of that mean...Aegon is dead....? Your Father?"

"Father, at least for me....had been dead a long time." Maegor said seriously, "I claimed Balerion, his dragon. Since I was his rightful successor."

"I see...." Visenya said softly, "Of course, my son would do that....he would claim his dragon."

"He still lives, Balerion." Maegor said, "That stupid runt who rode your dragon and wields your sword, he has him currently."

"Is that so?" Visenya said, "Baelon...."

"But Balerion is nothing to Drakken." Maegor said, "I mean it, Mother. Drakken's power is superior to even Balerion. I-"

He stopped as he heard the snap of a twig and he drew his sword turning around in alarm.

"Who's there?!" He bellowed, a serious glare in his eye

"Oh." A voice said, "I suppose sneaking about isn't my strong suit."

From the shadows of a tree, Riktor emerged, wearing a black noble attire with House Drakkengard's sigil on the side. Maegor saw that he had a greatsword sheathed, strapped over his shoulder.

"You...." Maegor said with a serious look on his face, "What do you want? We haven't done anything wrong."

"Who is this?" Visenya slowly stood up

Riktor looked at Visenya, "Hm, Viserra told me that someone else was resurrected." He said, "I suppose she was right. I don't recognize that one."

"What do you want, boy?" Maegor repeated

Riktor gave him a slight smirk as he planted the sheathed sword on the ground, driving it a few inches into the dirt.

"Nothing much." He said as he began to unsheathe the greatsword, "I wanted to see how The Cruel Tyrant would fare in a battle against me."

"What?" Maegor asked, "You want to fight me?"

"Of course I do." Riktor held his greatsword with one hand, "What say you, Former King? I will only use my skills against you."

"I challenge you to a duel."
