In Twilight's Zenith, the glorious homeland of the Lightbearers, Snow and Uriel continued their infiltration, gradually approaching the central district where Orsted, the current Lord of Light, had once resided. Its master was presently stranded on the Unknown Continent, leaving the heart of the Lightbearers' territory without the one individual who would normally have posed the greatest obstacle to their intrusion.
At a certain point, however, remaining undetected became impossible. The district they had entered was strictly forbidden to outsiders, and unlike the bustling streets they had passed through earlier, there were no crowds in which to conceal themselves. The avenues were almost deserted, their entrances guarded by imposing figures whose presence made it clear that anyone entering without permission would immediately be treated as an intruder.
The guards rushed toward them as soon as they were discovered.
