Despite the extraordinary surroundings, Snow and Uriel blended into the crowds without much difficulty. Both wore black garments that concealed much of their appearance, their hoods drawn low enough to hide their faces while allowing them to observe the city around them. The contrast between their dark clothing and the radiant streets was noticeable, but the city attracted enough travelers from distant regions that their presence did not immediately arouse suspicion.
