Hikari looked across the horizon aboard the ship. Ever since she'd finished off the dark goddess, Amelia refused to talk to her. However, Hikari would not take back her actions. Originally, she wanted the pink-haired goddess to take care of the whole problem on her own, but the elven goddess realized the truth.
Edith would never find solace while alive. Most of her sense of reason had truly vanished, and she wanted nothing more than death. Death was the greatest mercy that Hikari could give her, and forcing her to continue living with nothing to live for would be agonizing.
Gods and goddesses weren't like humans. Some of them were closer to humans emotionally, but someone like Edith was entirely different. No matter how long she lived, she'd never forget her pain, and she would hold onto it forever.
Hikari sighed. "I just hope that Amelia will come to that understanding. Besides…"
