"Are you really sure you want to reincarnate him like this?" a gentle voice echoed inside his soul. It was Elizabeth, his wife. "If you do, he will be upset."
Roger closed his eyes. "What choice do we have? Helel needs redemption. And honestly, it's better this way. Imagine him dying by a truckāit might take multiple strikes just to finish him off. That would be far more painful."
Elizabeth's voice trembled with emotion. "You're talking about killing our child. Our child, Roger."

Only he could sense it at first. But if Gabrielle wanted, she could sense it too. Right now, however, she had disabled most of her abilities, lowering her power to the level of his two dragon siblings. Samael had suppressed most of his own power as wellā¦ but still, he could feel it.

He closed his eyes, using his near-omniscience. Yet, even with that power, he couldn't see clearly.
"Father, allow me to see this outcome," he prayed silently.

A balloon smacked against his face, splashing him red. He could've dodged, but chose not to. He slowly turned his head. Of course, he already knew who it was.
His son, Rael. That mischievous boy.
He sighed as Rael and his daughter Milim burst out laughing. Even Gabrielle was trying to hold in her laughter. Samael's face twitched. If Gabrielle kept running her mouth, she'd ruin his "cool big brother" image in front of his younger siblings.
Sighing again, he wiped his face clean and looked at Rael with a serious expression.
"Son, go inside and call your mother."
Rael and Milim froze. They could tell from his tone this wasn't playtime anymore.
"Yes, Oto-san," they said together, running off. "Kaa-chan! Kaa-chan! Oto-san is calling you!"
Lucia was in the kitchen, cooking, when she heard her children's voices. Her youngest daughter, Ophis, was still asleep in her room, preferring silence.
Lucia wiped her hands and stepped outside. She saw Samael's serious face, Gabrielle standing there quietly.
"What happened?" she asked calmly.
Samael leaned back, his eyes sharp. "The Supreme Sorcery Kingdom is going to attack us. Quite a foolish move."
"What? Why?" Lucia asked, frowning.
"To harm your brother, of course," Samael answered. "They learned the royal family is living on this mountain. So now they want to kill us."
He chuckled darkly.
Lucia sighed. She already knew what her husband would do to them. Those fools didn't understand. They had no light left in them. They had committed too many sins, drowning in darkness.
Even as a High Human, balanced and good at heart, she knew they didn't stand a chance. She glanced at Gabrielle, who was calm as always.
Lucia shook her head. "Who in their right mind would come here to fight you?"
Her eyes softened, but her heart grew heavy.
She pitied them. Even if they were evil, their end would be cruel. Very, very cruel.
